“How many were singles or doubles, though? Did they meet the “mass shooting” standard?”

Good question so I looked on HeyJackass Chicago site.

The way I read it there were seven double shootings resulting in two deaths total. These do not qualify as mass shootings.

There was one shooting of four people; one death.

Net: of the 62 people shot down in the streets of Chicago over the long Labor Day weekend, only one of the shootings can be classified as a “mass shooting.”

With that, I'm feeling much better about taking a vacation in Chicago and experiencing the big city culture.

I’m sure that there are some areas that are safe, even at night.
