LOL, actually it’s not that bad. The trick is not to have too big a variance between inside and outside. Half the time I don’t bother to turn on the AC in the van.

Over 110 here yesterday and I cool this place with a 16,000 watt window air conditioner at around 75 to 80.

I got enough solar so that in a pinch I can cool a small room down using a window air unit... and enough lithium batteries to carry it through the night if need be.
Same for winter, I should be able to use an electric blanket.
It would be a meager and miserable existence...I would have my Ham gear to amuse myself with. Imagine listening to all the distress calls :-/
As long as the sun shines, and I should have reserves for 3 days if the sun don’t shine.

I need to get a small woodstove.
I have 40 acres of saplings and a rechargeable chainsaw.. not exactly Paul Bunyan but I think I could keep warm.

Last year I added extra attic insulation and replaced the two A/Cs. It helped.
People are SICK TO DEATH of being told what to do AND they know that EVERY STINKING one of the RULING CLASS are sitting home using whatever appliances they want!! The people KNOW the ruling class are the CAUSE of the problems and they are not willing anymore to change their lifestyles like they did for Covid!!

CA is already exporting captive “Green” energy projects to neighboring states.
Too ugly or environmentally caustic for their own lands but just fine to saddle other states with.
I am tired of their eyesores.
And by captive I mean that ALL power generated goes to CA.
And CA still buys NV (And other states) power when they run short.
This a shell-game they play to remain in compliance with their “Green” mandates.
