Wonder if she said the same about all those Islamic gangs in Africa who butchered countless people throughout the years.
Maybe someone should tell her there is no habitable corner of this Earth where slavery never existed. That except for Christian Europe, it was more the norm than the exception all over the globe.
Maybe someone should tell her the Muslims had already established a thriving slave trade in Africa hundreds of years before the first European ever sighted that part of the continent below the Sahara. And having just emerged from Muslim rule where slavery was a fixture, the Portuguese met up with these slavers when they did sight it and carried on.
Maybe someone should tell her it was the Christians of England who lobbied for the end of the slave trade in their Parliament, and the British navy that put a stop to it worldwide.
