"An economy that is strong": This section specifically focuses on inflation, high gas prices, supply chain issues and competition with China. McCarthy advises members to pledge to "put an end to 'Build Back Better' and eliminate wasteful government spending."This really galls me: "...eliminate wasteful government spending""A nation that is safe": With a focus on crime and immigration, Republicans vow to "secure the Southern border," "reduce crime and stop Fentanyl" and "defend our national security."
"A future that is free": Section headers include "make sure every kid in every neighborhood can succeed," "better care and improved health outcomes for all Americans" and "confront Big Tech and advance free speech."
"A government that is accountable": The final section emphasizes the extent of the oversight efforts Republicans are promising next year if they take back the majority, including a pledge to "ensure safe and fair elections."
Give me a break! We've been hearing that for 50 or 60 years and it never happens because all these people in Congress know how to do is spend OPM. How about "Reduce government size by two-thirds and get back to a Republic bound by its Constitution"?
They need Gingrich and Hanson to put something solid together.
Where is the Culture and Political War? Where is push-back against trannies, CRT, men disguised as women playing women's sports, the out-sized homo lobby, BLM, antifa, and the marxist take-over of the USA?
What, you don't favor sending 30 billion to Ukraine or a half trillion to non essential workers?
Where I'm from this is called lying through your teeth.
How about "Reduce government size by two-thirds and get back to a Republic bound by its Constitution"?
Define "size". I offer several definitions, all of which would benefit us citizens from RightSizing:
And that's just a start. What I propose is that, every month, each and every legislator and bureaucrat offer 10 pages of statute in the US Code and in the Code of Federal Regulations to eliminate. Bonus to those who propose 20 pages. How those pages get eliminated is up to the proposer. The low-hanging fruit -- out-of-date laws and regulation -- can come first.
In the process, that should help slim down the Budget. A lucky-strike extra of such a plan would be to make developing the US Budget easier, as there would be fewer line items.
