The rising crime rate in Los Angeles is a hot-button issue in this year’s race for Los Angeles mayor. And the issue just hit closer to home for one candidate.
Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass said Saturday that her home was burglarized.
“Last night, I came home and discovered that my house had been broken into and burglarized,” the Bass campaign said in a statement. “LAPD was called, and I appreciate their assistance. At this time, it appears that only two firearms, despite being safely and securely stored, were stolen. Cash, electronics and other valuables were not. It’s unnerving and, unfortunately, it’s something that far too many Angelenos have faced.”
The Los Angeles Police Dept. has not yet issued a statement on the matter.

Now she will be “tracked” by the banks if she tries to replace those guns with her credit cards. If I was her, I would use cash or she could have a couple jokers show up at her door in Navy windbreakers with BANK printed on the back in big yellow letters.
Will she be prosecuted for insecure storage of firearms?
So she is a gun nut with a huge arsenal of firearms in her house!

Why did Ms. Bass need 2 guns in her house? Why couldn’t she simply call the police if she has a problem?

This reminds me of the LA riots when the looters were being attacked and robbed of their loot.
So a whole gun safe was stolen? How else can firearms, safely and securely stored, be stolen?
My hunch would be someone knew she had them and knew where they were.
For a year or two after the Rodney King riots there were guys standing along Figueroa Street selling a wide variety of random items.
How can anything ‘securely’ stored be stolen??
...or did she sell them on the black mkt??
Could be a political hit to make her look bad, like a hypocrite for instance.
She also introduced the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act - the most transformative piece of policing legislation to ever pass in a chamber of Congress.

Could it be that she had the guns stolen on her orders. And now that she is no longer responsible for the guns; she can have her associates use the guns for her Own nefarious purposes?!
That didn’t cross my mind. But that would be a pretty dumb move for someone who is running for mayor of one of the biggest cities, to do.
If it’s a politically motivated hit job to make the candidate look like a loose cannon and hypocrite it certainly wouldn’t be the first time.
So the "safely and securely stored firearms" were stolen, but not the cash?
