CHICAGO (CBS) – At least three people are dead and 11 others were wounded in shootings across the city during the weekend. The ages of the victims range from 22 to 56.
In the first shooting of the weekend, a 30-year-old man was shot while riding a bicycle on the city's Near West Side Friday evening.
Police said the bicyclist was riding, in the 1300 block of West Washburne Avenue around 5:10 p.m., when he was struck in the abdomen and legs by an unknown offender.
The victim was transported to Stroger Hospital in stable condition.
A 22-year-old man is dead after being hit by a vehicle and then shot in South Shore Friday.
The shooting happened in the 2300 block of East 71st Street around 6:16 p.m.
At 2:14 a.m. Saturday, in the 0-100 block of West Cermak Road, the victims were standing on the sidewalk when shots were fired. A 30-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest. Another man was transported to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the back and face.
At 12:20 a.m. Sunday, in the 7000 block of South Ada Street, officers were responding to a person slumped over the wheel and officers discovered an unidentified male in the passenger side of a vehicle. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miss Beetlejuicette needs to stop this waste of ammunition in her city. We’re going to need those rounds they are wasting there. If you have problem people there, hire a dog catcher to round them up and bring them in.

She could help them improve their accuracy if she’d open a few gun ranges in that town. On the job gun training just doesn’t make sense.
Yesterday Mrs. L, a friend, and I spent the day literally surrounded by armed men and women while thousands of rounds were sent down range safely at the annual Zombie Shoot our gun club has every year.
Not one single person was injured by gun fire. One man did suffer from dehydration but was quickly treated by Club medics and returned to the fun.
This is about 70 miles west of downtown Chicago.

It’s raining now, and that will go on for another day or so. The rain is bringing colder temps, which will drive a need for new jackets, so maybe that will produce more shootings to celebrate the new threads and fashions.

I don't recall hearing of the number of arrests that are being made in connection withthese murders.
I think that they “clear” 3% of shootings and 10% of murders.
Well, at least there will be 4 fewer robberies or rapes this week
