My goodness, such hair-triggered offense these days. Looks like the term community has gone down the same rabbit hole as the word gay. Wistfully recalling when gay simply had a happy meaning...
Oh, no! The words "your community," "you folks," "you" in a remotely plural-sounding sense...are highly flammable and have been so for a VERY long time.
As long some humans are looking for a reason to be offended, any opportunity will suffice. And as long as there's some perceived reward in being offended (in this case, maybe some free chicken sandwiches or, perhaps, just a good excuse to riot), offense will be taken.
Just a tiny misstep and this Chick-fil-A will find itself reduced to a pile of smouldering ashes.
GAY = Keenly alive, exuberant, happily excited, merry, high spirits.
GAY does not mean QUEER, HOMOSEXUAL, LESBIAN, PERVERTED, PREDITORY CHILD MOLESTER!
That’s why I refuse to use the term “GAY” as related to QUEERS, PERVERTS, and other FREAKS!
Language is important; do not let the QUEERS and LOSBOS determine the usage of OUR WORDS TO THEIR ADVANTAGE!
