Russian units in Kharkiv Oblast are looking for ways to reach out to Ukrainian units in order to negotiate a surrender, Operational Command Pivden (South) has reported.

Background: Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War say that defenders of Ukraine have rapidly retaken almost the whole territory of Kharkiv Oblast.
The Russian response from Kherson is:
"It's calm. Possibly it's the calm before the storm, but we are ready to stand until the end and will not surrender our Russian city of Kherson to anyone"
Russian state news has reminded me of a comment a British diplomat made during the first Gulf War in 1990, in the build up before Desert Storm.
It was one of those comments that just sticks in your mind. I forgot who said it so if anyone remembers please post his name. His sardonic comment was:
"The Iraqis are practiced if not proficient liars."
Iraq under Saddam had better liars than Russia under Putin.

I also heard Russians were fighting retreating Russians. Sad if true. But I’d rather see Russians fighting each other than invading Ukraine.
I also heard that there are long queues trying to exit Eastern Ukraine into Russia by Russians that had moved into Eastern Ukraine, but that Russia isn’t letting them in.

It was the regular Russian army in Kharkiv that went AWOL from the battlefield first. They left interior ministry police units to face the Ukrainian army alone.
When you are out of ammo you are out of ammo. Russian occupiers in Kherson str cut off and isolated. It won’t be long now.

* Driving Russian forces from Kyiv to Kupyansk back to Belarus,
is not happening. Explain it, not just deny, mock, or change the subject. Can you do that?
Since rout of the Russian army began four days ago, not one person on the pro-Russian side has tried to explain this. Its all mockery and denials.
The Russian army is being defeated worse than the Iraqi army was in both Gulf Wars, and their rout is not over yet. That is a fact.

Wake up! Are you really this susceptible to “trusted media sources”? Do you have someone embedded on the ground? Maybe a mole in the Kremlin letting you know all the inner workings? I can look up 10 maps right now that will all show me different realities on the ground.
This has been as much a propaganda war as anything else and anyone with two eyes has seen this for about 6 months now. Never mind the fact that wars ebb and flow - does the phrase “Mission Accomplished” mean anything to you? Maybe it’s the U.S. / NATO that are the practiced and accomplished liars?

With the right people in charge it could still be worked out.
