Ukraine – the situation (September 12, 2022)
Asia Times ^

Posted on 09/12/2022 2:22:44 PM PDT by FarCenter

Ukrainian forces to the east and southeast of Kharkiv retain the offensive initiative.

Russian forces are withdrawing from the strategic hub of Izium and regrouping along a straight north-south line running just east from Kupiansk down to Izium.

In the South, company-level fighting continues northeast of Kherson; neither side has made any significant gains since early last week.

In response to the Kharkiv region offensive, Russian air and missile forces have attacked energy and water infrastructure throughout Eastern Ukraine and caused massive blackouts in major cities.

On the basis of reported large-scale US intelligence and added advanced weapons systems assistance, Russia has concluded that it is now de facto at war with the US. This is no longer a local affair.

On similar insight, Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) Valery Zaluzhny warns that Russian use of tactical nukes cannot be ruled out.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Samarkand at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit on September 15–16.

From the article:

"By directly involving itself not only in the planning but also in the execution of Ukrainian offensive action, the US has crossed what certainly may be seen by the Russian leadership as a red line announced at the very outset of the Russian action in Ukraine.

"This does not mean going nuclear. But it likely means escalating from local conventional military action to economic and financial targeting of civilian infrastructure, industrial capacity and energy sources.

"The head of the German armed forces General Eberhard Zorn warned of this last week in an interview with the daily Die Welt by noting that Russia has not yet used most of its air force and navy potential."

So, apparently the Russians are establishing a defensive line along the Oskil River.

Russia has proven to be a hollow force as opposed to a super power. So now they are having a tantrum.

A little while back there was extensive coverage of leaked military op papers from the Ukrainian government that showed 1/2 of the Ukrainian military was either dead, incapacitated, would never fight again, etc.

In comparison, Russia doesn’t have nearly as bad figures.

Ukraine has no choice but to go on a last-ditch counter-offensive.

In WW2 the Allies ‘leaked’ misleading documents to the Nazis all the time.

______________

This is no longer a local affair, Russia stated, as they acknowledge they are at war with the USA. Now the USA is one step away from full engagement.

Let’s get the draft up and running for all gendered and multi-gendered and non-gendered Americans of fighting age.

We’ll be warring with Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Syria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and possibly Turkmenistan, and Mongolia, for starters.

Enjoy your WWIII. It will be fitting if your and all of your family’s kids and grandkids have to go, warmongers everywhere.

Godwin’s Law...

But some will never learn.

Time and again Ukraine made claims, starting back in February, of how well they were doing in various places only for libtard MSM shills articles to be later debunked.

We’ve seen many times Ukraine claims being debunked on just FR and the conservative counter media to the MSM has become excellent as putting out info destroying the media claims from Ukraine via libtard MSM outlets.

The info that leaked a while back didn’t help Ukraine at all.

“The info that leaked a while back didn’t help Ukraine at all.”

Tell that to the Ukrainian troops who are right now retaking territory from Russia. Seems the disinformation is helping them quite a bit.

⚡️BREAKING NEWS⚡️

Now we have to see what all the rest of NATO provided...:-) One thing is becoming clear new announcements of additional weapons for Ukraine are almost all still to be produced and not to be delivered until next year. NATO’s closet is bare.

Russia has concluded that it is now in a direct war with the US, that this is now an American war. The boundaries had been pushed all along. But the mass delivery of US heavy artillery has pushed the situation into the grey zone. But the Kharkiv offensive directly involved US military personnel in critical line functions.

This seemed obvious from the turnaround success the USA Ukraine is having the last few days…

“We’ll be warring with etc etc etc”

No. Several of the countries named have claims against Russia. None of them have any interest in getting into a shooting match with anyone. Even Belarus has been warned by its own officers that they want no part of this. Russia is on its own.

There's zero evidence of this. It seems to reflect the usual contempt for the Ukrainians on the part of the Russians, who cannot conceive that they are getting their butts kicked by people they regard as inherently inferior. Therefore, the US or NATO must be directly involved.

The apparent inability of the Russians and their partisans to detect reality is one of the most salient features of this war.

Zel purged multiple officials from the Ukranian government, he made this known himself, and the release of the information about how badly the Ukranians were doing timed well with the date of the purges. The leaks were a reaction to the purge.

Ukraine has been caught numerous times lying along the lines they didn’t surrender at Snake Island when in fact they did, the Ghost of Kyiv turned out to be a lie, etc, etc, etc, etc, but this time the Ukrainian military being exposed at losing around half their fighting force was preemptive.

I was expecting some ignorant comment like that.

As many have condemned the USA and Europe and others have commitment via CIS.

Of course its an act of war by the USA. Too bad Democrats were not as interested in a proxy war against Russia from about 1949 to 1989. Instead they spent their political capital shilling for Russia then.

As is the US military. Lockheed and other contractors stated a two to three year replenishment period. Senile Joe’s Ukie war will have consequences, none good for America.

We can break both of Lord Montgomery's rules of war --

Rule 1, on page 1 of the book of war, is: ‘Do not march on Moscow’…[Rule 2] is: ‘Do not go fighting with your land armies in China.’ speech, House of Lords, 30 May 1962
