Reading to see all the people ooh and ahhh the riches of the wealth. Disturbing.

There are some nice documentary-type videos on YouTube about it, too.

If you’ve never been to see the mineral and gem collection at the Smithsonian Natural History museum, there’s a lot of neat stuff there, too. I remember one thing that fascinated me - I can’t remember if it was a tiara or an entire parure; but the diamonds were somehow set on tiny springs so they would sparkle even more. (It may have been thought to have belonged to Josephine at some point; I can’t remember now.)

There’s also a gigantic crystal ball...

I haven’t been to the Smithsonian in many decades, so if I saw that display I don’t remember it.

Diamonds on springs ... how cool is that?

Well, you go and tend to those ‘real problems’. We stupid people will enjoy our short period of interesting distraction.

It was beautiful. But if there was anything in that room I’d have liked to own, it was the big crystal ball - world’s largest flawless quartz ball, 242,323 carats, 106 pounds, 12.9 inches in diameter :-)

How was the crystal ball displayed? On a pedestal?

It’s on a little pedestal inside a case. There aren’t a lot of good pics of it:

That’s an interesting equivalence.

I bet you’re real good at malapropisms, too.

I doubt MeGain or Halfwit will get anything from her. He already sold a set of valuable Purdey hunting rifles that his grandfather Philip gave him while his grandad was still alive. Much of the Queen’s personal jewelry might be added to the royal collection to avoid tax, and she has many female relatives to leave her personal jewelry as you said.

I can’t believe Liz left her beloved little ankle biters to Andrew.

Those poor darling dogs.

They’re the only things that Liz had that I covet...

Judging by the underwhelming crowds, the slavering, censoring enemedia, the use of only tight crowd shots, the protests over grocery stores and other shops closing on Monday (I suspect the truth there is less about Liz and more about not being able to afford the overtime), I’d say enjoyment isn’t all that great.

I read that Andrew and his family gifted two Corgis to her after Philip died with the understanding that he would take them back and care for them if necessary. She still had some other pet dogs, and in that family of dog lovers, I’m sure they will all find excellent new homes.

Tens of thousands are turning out. The Brits did love the Queen.

I guess you failed to see the many thousands lining the streets for miles, through all of the journeys of the hearse.

Believe it or not, some people can hold more than one important thing in mind at a time.

It’s sort of like being able to chew gum while walking. Maybe you should practice it.
