What Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle Will Likely Inherit From Queen Elizabeth’s $100 Million Jewelry Collection

We know that throughout her life Britain’s longest-reigning monarch loved dogs, so of course royal fans wanted to know where her beloved corgis and dorgi are going. Multiple outlets have confirmed they will now live with Prince Andrew. The queen also loved her jewelry as some pieces in her collection were gifts from her late father King George VI, her late husband Prince Philip, and other relatives. Now, many want to know what’s going to happen to her jewelry and if Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle or the new Princess of Wales, formerly Kate Middleton, will inherit any.

Queen Elizabeth’s jewelry collection is separate from the Crown Jewels

At the time of her death, Queen Elizabeth had an estimated net worth of $600 million per Celebrity Net Worth. That number is for her personal assets not the assets of The Crown Estate which is estimated to be in the billions.

When it comes to the royal jewelry collection that too is separated into two parts of what the late monarch personally owned and the Crown Jewels. Jewelery expert Ella Kay told Express that the latter are “regalia used in ceremonies of state, like corporations” and are “owned by the sovereign in a trust.” The queen’s personal collection on the other hand is thought to be worth $100 million and any jewels that she inherited, were gifted to her, or she bought herself are what would be passed on to her loved ones.

Meghan will inherit a lovely, gold-inlay Tiffany box, which she can keep Harry’s balls in.

Wallis Simpson Markle should get a black lump of coal to match her black grifter heart.

I was just wondering whether Ann would be mentioned in this...she has a daughter and numerous grand daughters.

But as the article said, the will is private, so nobody really knows. This is all sensational speculation.

$100 million in just jewelry? This is the reason I do not follow the rich, famous and royalty. They have such an excess and live such cloistered existences they may as well live on a planet.

I care as much about the royals as I do the war on the Russian border.

They do live on a planet. It’s the same one you live on.

And the jewelry collection probably includes many generations of heirlooms.

Probably a 90 year seal.

It allows historians to have their shot but only after most people named in it are dead.

Wills are only second to account books as to how much they reveal about people.

I imagine the personal collection contains crap jewelry of no sentimental value and very little monetary value to be given to those considered to be ingrates. Kind of like leaving an unliked relative one dollar in a will. That’s what Meghan can expect.

I guess these things are important to professional historians; but I don’t really care to whom a historical figure leaves his personal material stuff.

One of the most interesting characters in history I’ve ever learned about is Benjamin Franklin. I didn’t need to read his will to know the ‘coolest’ things about him - it was all pretty much out there.

(I guess I don’t believe in ‘letting the daylight in’ upon quite all the magic :-)

It probably contains a lot of gifts given, many by family. That’s the kind of thing every family wants to pass down.
