Jones’ lawyer somehow leaked his emails.

“Does anyone remember the US Constitution? It was really cool.”

We remember that the First Amendment states that Congress shall make no law abridging freedom of speech or the press.

In neither the Connecticut or Texas litigation has a state or federal legislature enacted a law that abridged Jones’ speech.

The lawfare attack on Alex Jones illustrates the adage that the nail that sticks out is first to be hammered down. In the alternative health arena, the hit pieces on Dr. Joseph Mercola and America's Frontline Doctors are another example. The DOJ/FBI persecution of Trump is the prime case of the Left's war on dissent.

It won’t be long before Alex Jones is on a street corner asking for donations. They are going to destroy his company and make him penniless.

I don’t follow Alex Jones at all. I don’t know what he said.

But that’s the point - he SAID some things about the Sandy Hook event. Were they untruthful? Possibly. But what “acts” did he do? If he only spoke, what’s the first Amendment about then?

Were they slanderous against individuals? I don’t know

It seems like now-typical US political lawfare.

“Exactly. It is government intimidation of freedom of speech.”

Ok, well there are no prosecutors involved, no FBI, no grand juries, nobody has been arrested, Jones isn’t charged with a crime.

There is no right to slander someone. Also, Jones was caught red-handed lying in the courtroom in his last trial to determine damages. This guy is just a cheap con-man.

People who believe the earth is flat and the moon landing was a hoax will be rounded up next.

The 1st amendment is dead.

Joe Biden called me a domestic terrorist. Do I have a case?

But that's his Constitutional right. Or at least is used to be.

There’s no constitutional right to engage in slander. Nor is there one to withhold evidence under subpoena.

Sure. He may indeed be a “cheap con-man”, and so is just about every member of the Democrat Party, many in the Republican party, many in the media, and many on this very forum.

I am not sticking up for Alex Jones any more than I am sticking up for anyone else who might be persecuted by the government regardless of how much of a Leftist Moonbat they might be. I despise and detest them and all they say, but I stand by their right to say it, as putrid as it may be and as much as I hate it.

And to say the government isn’t involved in persecuting him for this, you are wrong.

The FBI was investigating any role Jones might have played in influencing the participation of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers in the incursion.

The January 6 Attack subpoenaed Jones for testimony and documents by December 18 and December 6, respectively.

Slander sure seems to be a one-way negative ratchet for conservatives on a constant and ongoing basis, with very little going against Leftists on the other side with the notable exception of Nick Sandmann.

You have that correct.

And I hope more trials come after this clown.

I cannot stand Alex Jones, but opinions should be protected speech.

IIRC Biden’s youngest brother has a $1M civil judgement outstanding against him for several years and has paid $0 on it. Expect collection efforts against Alex Jones to be more vigorous.
