I fly a Bennington flag every day. Under it I have flown the Gadsden flag, the Moultrie flag, Washington’s Cruisers, and a Pine Tree flag.
I’ve given some thought to having a flag for that day we pray God never comes. I’ve considered a blacked-out Stars and Stripes, plain black, a skull and crossbones, but I’ve settled on the stretched version of the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia.
Any of my male ancestors who were here in 1861 wore the blue suit. But if the day ever comes to reveal that General Lee was right after all, then up she goes.
