Meanwhile Erdi at SCO agreed to send whatever Russian exports through Turkey and also agreed to conduct trade in rubles.

Who cares, especially when the perfectly un-American person is asking? Your handle betrays you just great. Was your father a Ukie Nazi collaborator who used to kill Jews for a living? Canada is particularly infested by yours.

I just have a question. From where is the oil coming to be refined?

“Meanwhile Erdi at SCO agreed to send whatever Russian exports through Turkey and also agreed to conduct trade in rubles.”

Interesting, sounds like Turkey is about to leave NATO. If so, NATO can finally get Finland and Sweden, since Turkey would no longer be able to prevent their joining.

...not sure it’s such a great trade though, since Russia will get Turkey and FULLY OWN the Black Sea.

“yup, you live in Russia”

Yep, we’re all Russians now, at least those of us who prefer to NOT see the Neocons start WW3.

> so much for the “NATO provocation” theory <

NATO did provoke Russia by moving eastward. I don’t think that can really be debated. And a check of my pre-invasion FR posts will show that I was quite sympathetic to Russia in that regard.

But here’s the thing. Any response to a provocation must be in proportion to the provocation. NATO did not invade Russia, or bomb any Russian cities. And neither did Ukraine.

Putin completely overreacted here. He is now killing civilians and terrorizing whole populations. He went way over the top. And so my opinion of him has changed since the invasion. I now consider him to be a war criminal.

” they ultimately will lose the 350 billion in cash impounded by the U.S. and all other impounded property to rebuild the Ukraine.”

The Russians can simply void Western intellectual property rights in Russia in return.

“Russian-owned”. Not any more. The government of Germany has just nationalized them.

Given that Turkey is a number two military in NATO it is barely a fair trade.

The Russians cut his testicles off. They never had another problem. So, yes he was returned. Some assembly required.

“Sweden and Finland are joining NATO

and they’re right on Russia borders, yet Russia is doing nothing about it

so much for the “NATO provocation” theory”

So much for the Putin warmonger theory.

So the stupid Germans not only allowed Russia to become its major source of oil and gas, it allowed Russia to become owners of major refineries in Germany. Why does not the populace demand the resignations of many politicians.

And on that note, where did Angela Merkel really come from, politically? Was she all along (she was from East Germany) a Russian trained subversive?

“What would you do if Ukraine became a member of NATO and you were the leader of Russia?”

Eat my hat. Because Putin has known for years it was never going to happen. NATO pretty much confirmed that last year, Zelenskyy withdrew his ambition to join even before the SMO started, stating clearly that the open door was one nobody wanted Ukraine to walk through; and it was described as an “easy” concession in the March-April negotiations.

Russia annexing South Ukraine would’ve put Russia next door to NATO. Finland joining NATO would’ve. Russia invading the Baltic would’ve.

If we adopted dumbshit orc logic, the unification of Russia and Belarus would be grounds for NATO to invade Belarus. Of course we’d respond to an aggressive move like that... see what happens if you let Bullshit Provocation go both ways.

Well played and yes; I’m sure the Russians knew this would happen. The refineries are in Germany so of course they will take them over as long as no Russian oil is reaching them. The bigger question is any oil going to reach them and from where? I guess Germans have been running the refineries and will continue to do so as long as there is product to refine.

It’s always good entertainment when the Climate Nazis run head on to the reality that the world runs on oil. The world may slowly wean itself off but without oil; very little manufacturing gets done. There is no replacement for petroleum based products. Not yet anyway.

And can be viewed as an act of war.
