Re: "Bodies were still found in a mass grave."

I do not see that statement at the link.

I heard days ago that the Ukes were going into the areas like Izium after the Russians retreated and punishing those that helped Russians or took Russian aid.

How do we know this isn’t what happened?

Answer is, we don’t.

All of your statements were true 20 years ago and every day from then until now.
FReepers, generally speaking, used to know that.

Anyway, Iran is stepping in to help Armenia.
Looks like a decent Ww3 lineup falling into place?

Yeah, that thread is such nonsense I never engage in it. Reminds me of those who posted constantly about the Chinese Wuhan flu deaths every day. While I didn't check all of your posts, from the few I saw, you are all for having us getting involved in the conflict. Problem is, my country (the U.S.) started this whole ball rolling with our color-revolution of a duly elected president during that communist former president who some claim is in his third term.

Am I wrong? If so, where?

The first thing I noticed were the carefully hand-crafted crosses placed on each grave.

First time in history I have ever seen that at a “mass grave.”

No right or wrong. Either you are for having a free people live under Russian oppression again, genocide, kidnapping men women and children into Russia or you are not.

The question becomes, pre-0bama/Biden, what does America stand for? If it stands only for itself, money and so forth, then many would argue: what is the difference between the US and any other country?

Involvement is some US$8-9 billion, chump change in today’s political economy which sees spending in the trillions of dollars. $9-10 billion is cheap for getting rid of the Russian military as a threat.

I try not to conflate the war itself with other issues like Ukraine government internal politics, covid, China US elections. And if you paid attention, 99% of what I posted was transcribed, ie, not my thoughts.

Where a lot of people go astray is in thinking Ukraine is an established country, when if fact, it is barely 10 years old as constituted. They are still using the Soviet model for government, pushed by Russians who emigrated from Russia and FSB/KGB plants and sympathizers ... who have done more damage to the country than the Russian invasion.

This is the constraint the people are working under - they have not had time to reformulate their government and get rid of the Soviets, the collaborators, the traitors. Here in the West, few people seem to even understand how their government works or where the real power lies, so there are many distortions, made even more onerous by Russian propaganda.

See, that is part of the problem, you aren't even aware of how much money has been given to Ukraine (not including armaments & ammo) is already @ 54 billion. Weapons and other supplies: $12.5 billion. So, that brings the total up to 66.5 billion dollars. Just who do you think will be on the hook to rebuild Ukraine? You people are just not interested in knowing all of the negative repercussions or the true costs of our involvement in this conflict.

Source

In addition, we spent an estimated $1.922 trillion on the Iraq war.

Source

Afghanistan has cost $2.3 trillion.

Researchers at Brown University estimate that the U.S. has spent $5.8 trillion on the war in Afghanistan and other conflicts stemming from the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. That includes direct and indirect spending on everything from military equipment to homeland security to death gratuities for the families of slain American service members.

Source

Was that a good investment, or would it have been wiser to spend that money in the U.S. on rebuilding infrastructure?

The true costs for Covid haven't even been calculated, but we know that trillions have been spent, and most of it foolishly, I might add.

Who do you think pays for this? The American taxpayer, for generations to come. Which means your children & grandchildren are getting saddled with enormous amounts of debt before they even can earn their first dollar.

The current debt is a whopping 30.899 trillion. The National Debt in 2017 was: $20.245 trillion, which means we have added 10.654 trillion in just the last 5 years.

I certainly do not mind you being philanthropic with your own money, but I do not appreciate you being so with everybody else's money, no matter how much it makes you feel good.

No right or wrong. Either you are for having a free people live under Russian oppression again, genocide, kidnapping men women and children into Russia or you are not.

Well, we have no idea if that would have been the case or not, because we got involved. But one thing is for sure, and that is you are equating Russia behavior to that of the USSR, and evidence points to the fact Russia has not behaved like the USSR since the USSR dissolved in 1991. You foolish supporters of Ukraine totally ignore what has been transpiring in Eastern Ukraine since 2014 with the Nazi's,and the treatment of the Russian speaking Ukrainians.

They are still using the Soviet model for government, pushed by Russians who emigrated from Russia and FSB/KGB plants and sympathizers ... who have done more damage to the country than the Russian invasion.

Again you are wrong. These Russians did not emigrate as Russian plants, they have lived in Ukraine their entire life, and their families before them lived there as well. Remember it used to be a part of Russia, especially Eastern Ukraine which was considered as Russian controlled, and then the USSR, when the communists overthrew the Tsar. That time frame spans over centuries.

History – The Past that Shaped Present Day Ukraine

99% of what I posted was transcribed, ie, not my thoughts.

We have an old saying in the world of programming: Garbage in results in garbage out. In other words, if you are using faulty data to begin with, you will never get accurate results. During wartime, propaganda runs high on both sides. Thus data you think is accurate is usually not accurate at all.

The question becomes, pre-0bama/Biden, what does America stand for? If it stands only for itself, money and so forth, then many would argue: what is the difference between the US and any other country?

It doesn't stand for us to be the world's policemen, especially when we can't even police our own country.

George Washington warned us to stay out of unnecessary wars wars. This conflict is exactly what he was warning us to avoid. Ukraine is of no national security to the U.S. The same holds true for Iraq & Afghanistan. Ever wonder why the world does not hold this nation in high esteem? It's because we throw our weight around with regard to everything that goes on in the world.
