Maybe knocking the Mafia off their pedestal was a bad idea. Back in the day that city council member would have been “taken care of” despite what the electorate votes for. His or her replacement (Along with the rest) would have gotten the message loud and clear.

In St. Louis, there is a part of town known as ‘The Hill’. Other places it would be called ‘Little Italy’. It’s an old neighborhood with small brick homes kept immaculately. Great delis and restaurants. Being in St. Louis it is only blocks away from chaos, yet there it is. Perhaps a greater force is protecting it.
