New York's AG Letitia James parades her economic and entrepreneurial illiteracy: How did this woman make it through law school? I'd like to see some receipts.

For years, most of the media, the federal Justice Department, and other Democrats have waged a vendetta against Donald Trump, perpetuating endless investigations in search of crimes. So far, their efforts have failed, but that's not stopping another left-wing loon from boarding the Trump Derangement Syndrome train.

Since New York attorney general Leticia James could not find a crime, she has promised voters that she would destroy Trump, and now, since election is coming soon, she's suing Trump and his family for alleged fraud for supposedly claiming that their property was worth more than it is.

If the Trumps committed bank fraud, as James says, they would have sued him and filed a criminal referral on him, but they did not. The state was not a victim, nor the bank, nor the citizens of New York, so why is she suing? Well, either she's extremely dimwitted or the move is purely for political reasons.

Voters should never vote for any politician who seems to believe that a man can walk into a bank, claim to be worth billions, ask for a loan for hundreds of millions based on his word, and the banker just writes a check with no due diligence.

The bank gets independent appraisals, evaluates financial statements, reviews tax returns, and takes whatever steps necessary to protect its regulators and owners to ensure the borrowers have the cash flow capacity to pay back the loan. Due diligence may be a foreign concept to politicians, but the regulators would put severe restrictions on banks that didn't do their job.

How could an attorney general not know this?

James says Trump overvalued his properties to save money on insurance. How exactly did that work? I believe that the more property is worth, the higher the cost of insurance.

I didn't know Letitia James was an expert on property valuations. She said Mar-a-Lago was worth only $75 million instead of the over $700 million figure the Trumps cited. She essentially multiplied cash flow times three to get that evaluation. It shows a great deal of economic illiteracy to pretend that Palm Springs property values are based on cash flow.

Billionaire Ken Griffin has a piece of property down the street that cost him $450 million.  My guess is, if Trump subdivided Mar-a-Lago it would in fact be worth north of $700 million.

Has she ever sued anyone else in Manhattan for overvaluing commercial or residential properties?  My guess is no.

BTW, For those unaware -— Colleges in New York and throughout the country have inflated their costs rapidly for over fifty years, while encouraging parents and students to borrow money to pay for these exploitative costs.

They misled borrowers, claiming that these degrees would yield higher incomes upon graduation, yet now millions can’t pay the loans back — because, as it turns out, gender studies isn’t a marketable knowledge set — and taxpayers will have to eat over one trillion dollars. There are millions of victims, yet the colleges aren’t being sued, but the Trumps are, with no apparent victims.

here's the thing about education.....most of it is "muddle thru".....maybe most of it....

even docs to be have to muddle thru some courses...

people get admitted to college and graduate for reasons such as their race, their religion, their athletic ability, their notoriety, or their celebrity status or who their parents are.....

look at some of these bureaucrats....especially the ones roaming around Wash DC...they can barely talk coherently let alone hold a deep conversation..

She’s like Obama. A low IQ figurehead fronting the Left, who is untouchable because of her sex and race.

In all fairness, most attorneys that I know can’t do math.

Two words: Affirmative Action

This person was hired only to present a black female face.
That was the qualification. Actual skills were not a factor.

Most libtards in government are dumber than a box of rocks.

They were probably educated in the public school system

James won’t get anywhere with this civil case, she’s throwing spaghetti against the wall hoping something sticks.

The important cases were already shut down by Alvin Bragg.

Trump has nothing to worry about when it comes to New York.

It’s called playing the race card to get out of jail free.

Trump has nothing to worry about when it comes to New York.

He'll still have to spend 100's of thousands to defend himself. That is a crime.

My daughter went to a prestigious tier one law school. She told me of admitted females of color who were unable to participate in classes due to their ignorance of fundamental prerequisite procedures and processes. They never did course assignments and were never in study groups. She had no idea why they were admitted? Always females of color. Not one male of the same.

She is now a lawyer with a firm. She tells me those same clueless law school students are in city, state, and federal government lawyer positions. She says it's impossible that they were able to take and pass the bar exams.

There are some onions to peel all the way down here. The LSATS test your thought processes and quality of thought. The speakings of Letitia James and Kamala Harris prove them to not be lawyers in thought, word, or behavior. They are social workers with unlimited power.

That kind of question is merit based in nature. It does not work at time like this

It's even more ludicrous than what the author has said here.

Let's look at two simple legal angles to this that will both blow the case out of the water and make this wombat the most hated public official in the world of investment banking:

1. Senior executives of all of the financial institutions named as "victims" of this fraud will be forced to give depositions where they will have to explain why the hell they didn't do their own due diligence and simply accepted a loan applicant's property valuations at face value.

2. One of the grounds the Trump legal team will have to dismiss the case is the common law principle that the NY AG has "failed to join a necessary party to the complaint." Trump's lawyers may then save her the trouble by filing third-party claims against the financial institutions and their senior executives themselves. If the litany of allegations presented by the New York AG's office against Trump are true, then they read like a textbook case of the employees of these financial institutions breaching their fiduciary duty to their shareholders.

The problem isn’t the truth - it’s the perception, People can now, and in fact do claim that Trump is a criminal who belongs in jail and this just adds fuel to their beliefs. I think they’re figuring this might affect the elections and I remember Harry Reid and his fake claims about Romney saying “well it worked, didn’t it?”.

I have friends and relatives who will believe this without looking into it - partially because they’ve been led to believe Trump is a ogre, a cheater..etc. and he’s not worth defending. They literally do not care about the state of the country when it comes into conflict with their biases.

It takes a lot for someone to admit they were wrong - which usually comes after a lot of pain.
