Is this person a hardliner or more democratic oriented than Xi?
The idea is to continue opening up as opposed to Xi who of late has closed off and closed down.
The issue of a third “term” is at issue also.
There is no real line or authority ot legal system in China.
The leader is the communist who garners support of the military.
After Deng died there is no clear line of succession after Jiang and Hu, who were determined by Deng before he died.
It’s a banana republic now.
Xi has thrown a wrench in to the works by trying to get a third “term” and greatly changing the open up policy and going back to more Maoist isolation and insularity.
The open up policy us what drove their increased affluence and most know it.

Xi was supposed by most on his elevation to continue to open up China - maybe the only way to tell is to do a deep dive into whatever information is available on the Family. There are only 7 Families that run China.
