I’m going to listen to the speech and draw my own conclusions - not swallow the half truths, mischaracterizations and spin that constitutes the western media.
Some quick impressions:
1. Drawing a clear line, as they see it, between the corrupt, decadent and backstabbing western govs - and traditional, sovereign, self-reliant country.
2. Very forcefully delivered. No whitewashing here! Not a lot to ‘walk back’ like our gov does every time bishit opens his mouth.
3. History matters. Especially to those who own that history.
By their fruits ye shall know them.

Actually Putin said in his speech what many nations leaders are afraid to spak openly - but think.
I don’t believe diplomatic niceties can prevail now.
Russkies have made it clear they will not, for the umpteenth time, take the west’s word at anything, anymore. No more signed papers. No more handshakes. No more benefit of the doubt. That ship has sailed. Which makes it virtually impossible to have a settlement absent a change in leadership [their’s, or our’s].

Good questions. I agree the gov’s of western EU should have second thoughts over obeying orders for their own destruction. But $ talks, and we’re printing tons of it, and those pay-offs will buy a really nice villa in New Zealand.
