Is Gavin Newsom completely tone-deaf, self-centered, and deluded? Does he have something to gain by emptying California of its population and ruining it economically? Is he trying to showcase his progressive chops for a potential run against DeSantis for the POTUS slot? Or is he just a terrible human being?

Newsom, in his never-ending quest to make California a post-apocalyptic wasteland of mob rule, Mad Max-style running battles, ritual cannibalism, mutant animals, and the adult version of Lord of the Flies, has signed AB-2098 into law, according to the Post Millennial. The law essentially penalizes physicians for mis- or disinformation when it comes to COVID-19.
Sigh. C’mon, Newsom. COVID-19 is so last year. Hell, it’s not even last year at this point. I thought we were all going to die of Monkeypox, or whatever the next scheduled public health conniption will be. Timing aside, the questionably Honorable Gavin Newsom just can’t leave anyone or anything alone.
The section of the bill called “Legislative Counsel’s Digest” states:
“Existing law provides for the licensure and regulation of physicians and surgeons by the Medical Board of California and the Osteopathic Medical Board of California. Existing law requires the applicable board to take action against any licensed physician and surgeon who is charged with unprofessional conduct, as provided.
This bill would designate the dissemination of misinformation or disinformation related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, or ‘COVID-19,’ as unprofessional conduct. The bill would also make findings and declarations in this regard.”
The bill alleges (my words) that “The spread of misinformation and disinformation about COVID-19 vaccines has weakened public confidence and placed lives at serious risk.

The Federation of State Medical Boards has released a statement warning that physicians who engage in the dissemination of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation or disinformation risk losing their medical licenses and that physicians have a duty to provide their patients with accurate, science-based information.”
So a medical doctor provides his opinion and the NAZIS decide what is “misinformation”?
So they better quit touting the CONvid -19 vax and boosters as “safe” & “effective” or they’ll be in trouble. No? 🔬😵😷🚫💉

No, it’s the OPPOSITE. If you quit touting the Covid Vax, you’re in trouble.
If laws like this had been around 200 years ago we’d still be bleeding patients to balance their bodily humors.
Interestingly enough this bill could be disastrous for the state. State sponsored claims which turn out to be false could be turned against them. As we have discovered with all things covid, nothing they claim turns out to be true as mandated.
And the medical community won’t do jack because...

Ignaz Philipp Semmelweis ( 1 July 1818 – 13 August 1865) was a Hungarian physician and scientist, who was an early pioneer of antiseptic procedures. Described as the “saviour of mothers”, he discovered that the incidence of puerperal fever (also known as “childbed fever”) could be drastically reduced by requiring hand disinfection in obstetrical clinics.
Puerperal fever was common in mid-19th-century hospitals and often fatal. He proposed the practice of washing hands with chlorinated lime solutions in 1847 while working in Vienna General Hospital’s First Obstetrical Clinic, where doctors’ wards had three times the mortality of midwives’ wards.
He published a book of his findings in Etiology, Concept and Prophylaxis of Childbed Fever.
Despite various publications of results where hand-washing reduced mortality to below 1%, Semmelweis’s observations conflicted with the established scientific and medical opinions of the time and his ideas were rejected by the medical community.
He could offer no theoretical explanation for his findings of reduced mortality due to hand-washing, and some doctors were offended at the suggestion that they should wash their hands and mocked him for it. In 1865, the increasingly outspoken Semmelweis allegedly suffered a nervous breakdown and was committed to an asylum by his colleagues. In the asylum he was beaten by the guards.
He died 14 days later from a gangrenous wound on his right hand that may have been caused by the beating. His findings earned widespread acceptance only years after his death, when Louis Pasteur confirmed the germ theory, giving Semmelweis’ observations a theoretical explanation, and Joseph Lister, acting on Pasteur’s research, practised and operated using hygienic methods, with great success.
Semmelweis would have been prosecuted in today’s California under Gavin Newsom.

This is what tyrants, including mini-tyrants such as Newsom the Vile, do as they cannot tolerate any dissent or difference of opinion which would expose their shallowness and lack of self-confidence they so desperately need to hide lest they lose their “aura of magnificence and benevolence” among the common masses over which they must maintain iron-fisted control to justify their very existence.
Heaven forbid anyone has an opinion that differs from the STATE line…off to the gulags…
So now the state is practicing medicine without a license. Do everyone of those lawmakers have a current license to practice medicine?
