The trend is our friend
Once a family tries homeschooling, they usually do not return to the public school system, although some do end up enrolling their children in private schools. Parents find that it only takes about four hours to go through the material that a public school does in eight, with their child learning and retaining a lot more of the information. Plus, with individual attention, a child excels at those subjects they are interested in, while at the same time gets a better grasp on the subjects in which they struggle. I hope to see more parents taking this route in the future.
One thing about the “pandemic” was that many families found that they really liked having a parent at home and taking a more “hands-on” approach to their children’s education. (In addition to being disgusted by what their children were “learning”). I believe that is one reason that so many workers have left the job market. Many mothers have found that they prefer being at home and that they were fooled by the narrative that to be fulfilled they need to go to work outside the home.
I’ll have to look at the school levy on my property taxes to see how much it’s going down this year.
