Federal agents investigating Hunter Biden believe they have for months had enough evidence to charge the first son with tax crimes β as well as for lying about his drug abuse so he could buy a gun, a new report revealed Thursday.
The final decision on whether to bring a case against the 52-year-old son of President Biden will be made by Delaware US Attorney David Weiss, who was appointed to his current post by former President Donald Trump.
The Washington Post, citing people familiar with the investigation, reported that agents had determined months ago that they had assembled a viable criminal case against Hunter Biden.

I would still bet he will never be charged with anything. No matter who wins in 2024.

Could these press releases be timed to get the Biden voters to the polls? When Mar-a-Lago was raided, Trump’s popularity went up. Maybe Biden’s will too if they arrest Hunter.

THEYβVE BEEN COVERING FOR HIM FOR YEARS.

Fines paid for by more of the same pay to play schemes as a plea deal with the DOJ. In the deal is a complete non prosecution clause for any and all crimes not listed in the charge detailed subject to the plea deal.

You’re probably right. As it is the suggested charges — tax technicalities, lying about drug use when buying a gun — are penny-ante compared to the hundreds of millions of dollars in bribes, collusion with enemy regimes, etc.

Anyone who was paying attention knew that Hunter was indictable two years ago.

Any charges brought against Hunter will not involve China or Joe Biden. The gun and tax charges will serve as a deflection from the more serious crimes of money laundering and influence peddling.
This is all theater.

I would still bet he will never be charged with anything. No matter who wins in 2024. That sucks, but I believe it to be true.

This is not about justice, the law being equally applied and Hunter being held responsible for his crimes. I suspect this is something where Biden will plea out to a small infraction, pay a fine, and then the entire thing will disappear. Wording in the plea will include a paragraph that states Hunter can’t be tried on any of his “related” crimes in the future (everything will be related so it will be a “get-out-of-jail” card for the rest of his life). And, at some point Biden will issue Hunter a pardon.

Bidet will pardon him if it gets that far. It's hard to imagine him not doing so. But that would expose *him* to increased scrutiny...particularly if the GOP take the house or Senate. a better strategy for Rat Party Headquarters is to delay...delay...delay the process.
