And you imagine that that was a one off? There will be another and another etc - in this prelude to major attacks.

Your comment re. the rail line being untouched is probably not correct.

The fire appeared very energetic, hot and lasted for some extended time. It is likely that intense heat damaged the concrete and compromised rebar in the prestressed concrete beams. At the least, the load capacity of the affected spans are reduced. At worst the spans are junk.

It will probably be a week or three until engineers figger this out accurately. Information coming out over the next few days (including mine) will be guesses at best.

My opinions….
