Guessing these convictions that are being pardoned are actually not that simple. I suspect most of these possessions were either a third strike after two more serious convictions, or were not one or two ounces of MJ, but of drug amounts in the trafficking range, or some other factor that puts a lie to the spin.
Exactly. What will the dealers do when set free? Pardoned, many will go to the next level. Fentanyl anyone? How about some good old-fashioned Heroin? Oh, and you need protection and will give to us Cash regularly.

I think you’re right. I have never heard of someone going to prison for a small amount of weed. Especially Federal prison.
The charges had to be more serious like possession of a kilogram or so.
