'Today was mostly sunny, unfortunately it was cloudy over Crimea': President Zelensky TAUNTS Putin over latest humiliation --Kerch

Ukrainian president and ex-comedian Volodymyr Zelensky rediscovered his comic chops in a tongue-in-cheek weather report following damage to a key strategic bridge between Russia and Moscow-annexed Crimea.

The Kyiv leader poked fun at the humiliating attack on Putin's supply line, making the audacious comments in his nightly video address posted on Telegram.

Zelensky said: 'Today was a good and mostly sunny day in our country. Over most of the territory, it was about 20 degrees Celsius and sunny.

'Unfortunately, it was cloudy in Crimea, although it was still warm. But however the clouds are, Ukrainians know what to do, and they know that our future is sunny.

'This is the future without invaders, on all our territory, in particular in Crimea.'

Three people were killed when the apparent truck bomb took down a chunk of the bridge between Russia and the Ukrainian region stolen by Putin in 2014.

The explosion took place just hours after Putin's 70th birthday, with one of Zelensky's aides joking: 'Happy birthday, Mr President'.

The plot thickened when a mysterious 'wave' was caught on video, fuelling speculation that Ukrainian special services used a boat or explosive-laden drone to launch an attack that has damaged Putin's supply lines.

'I think the Ukrainians will leave that big bridge up as an invitation to leave,' General Hodges added.

Crimea is Russian territory and the residents certainly have no desire to go back to Ukraine.

What about that don't you understand?

Sicko neocons think we can force people to part of a country they don't want to be a part of and be ruled by those that hate their ethnicity. Anyone agreeing with that is sick SOB.

I hope Russia drops a bomb on this little creep.

The temerity of that guy to have his country invaded by you all and then have the guts to fight back and defeat you!

Anyway, my condolences to the families of all the Russian servicemen killed so far in this pointless misadventure.

This from someone who supports the Russian annexation of Ukrainian territory by the force of arms.

Lol, you didn't seem to care what the citizens of Kyiv thought when you tried to capture it.

Sun Tzu said:
When you surround an army, leave an outlet free.

This does not mean that the enemy is to be allowed to escape.

The object, as Tu Mu puts it, is “to make him believe that there is a road to safety, and thus prevent his fighting with the courage of despair.” Tu Mu adds pleasantly: “After that, you may crush him.”

“Crimea is Russian territory and the residents certainly have no desire to go back to Ukraine.”

How many non-Russian ethnics did Stalin deport after World War 2. About 45% of the Crimea population. Shame on you Kremlin pizza take out driver. Shoiugu said extra pepperonis n mushroom today.

Hard to do when he's in a Soviet-built bunker designed to withstand an atomic bomb.

Besides, why are you sorry for Putin when Russia's indiscriminate attacks on apartment blocks and other civilian structures have killed hundreds of Ukrainians?

—”Very good from Sun Tzu.”

IIRC looking around you will find similar thoughts from Machiavelli and others.

This is the one I recall.

“Sicko neocons think we can force people to part of a country they don’t want to be a part of and be ruled by those that hate their ethnicity. Anyone agreeing with that is sick SOB.”

Simply reading a one-page synopsis of the people and history of the Crimea would make it crystal clear to any normal, rational person that the Crimea belongs with Russia.

But the neocons aren’t normal. They are sick. Their need to see Putin’s Russia destroyed is beyond reason. There are historical reasons for the hatred, but they have marinated in that hatred so long they don’t realize they’ve become psychotic and self-destructive. (And the dirty secret is that they hate the Ukrainian people even more, for the same reasons.) The foreign policy road they have put us on is disastrous. And now the whole world is in a very dangerous situation because Americans let these people take over our foreign policy.
