Meta's researchers have discovered more than 400 malicious Android and Apple apps designed to steal personal Facebook logins.
The applications are disguised as games, photo editors, and health and lifestyle services.
Often, app users are asked to log in with their Facebook, which enables hackers to steal logins and passwords.

Several years ago when I had a Facebook account, I discovered there was another account with my name and picture being used originating from another country. I couldn’t even change my password, because the “fake” me had already changed the password. FB is one of the most insecure platforms out there. It didn’t take long to figure out that you shouldn’t buy any product offered on Facebook, as they get all of your credit card information when you order and either send you a crappy product from China or nothing at all.
