Prosecutors of Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz called for an investigation Friday after a juror said another panelist threatened her during the deliberations that ended with a life sentence for Cruz's murder of 17 people four years ago at Parkland's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Prosecutor Carolyn McCann told Circuit Judge Elizabeth Scherer during a brief hearing that prosecutors are not trying to invalidate Thursday's jury vote and reported the threat only for safety reasons and so the Broward County Sheriff's Office can investigate.

Does Double Jeopardy apply to sentencing?
Let me guess who felt threatened...a woman?...
This could get interesting.
Every juror testified he was worthy of/for death.
Lying lib woman.
It isn’t going to change the verdict. All it takes is one person to not be for death penalty.
I feel bad for those families and their disappointment, but this guy did get life without parole and nobody is going to change the sentence.
All that is needed for a liberal woman to “feel” threatened is someone to talk to her.
Broward county... enough said.
What’s the point of having the family even say anything after the sentences already been decided?
He will get out one way or another. Due to overcrowding or something.
The killer may have fifty years of imprisonment ahead of him.
the judge can make the final decision in this case. i hope she gives him the death penalty. his early life did not make him do this.
Now anymore, that could possibly happen except this is Florida and that is a good thing.
the judge actually has the last word...and can give him the death penalty.
not really...
He is there for life. I think in a death penalty case if he doesn’t get death, he gets automatic life, no parole. Not sure about Florida though.
The judge can...she has the last word.
All it takes is just one look.
They will let him out when the next COVID emergency arises.
