A Hong Kong pro-democracy protester was apparently beaten inside the grounds of the Chinese consulate in Manchester on Sunday, according to footage circulating on social media.
Video footage appeared to show a man being assaulted as police officers tried to break up the chaotic scenes on Sunday afternoon.
Iain Duncan Smith, the former Tory leader, told The Telegraph that the Chinese embassy must issue a "full apology" over the incident and said the individuals involved should be expelled from the UK.

UK need to expel all the consulate personnel involved.
If the protestor was inside the compound he was on Chinese territory; not much sympathy.
If the protestor was on British soil and dragged onto Chinese territory that was a provocation on the “act of war” continuum.
I doubt that King Chuckhold has the ‘nads for a proper response.
That’s exactly what happened, watch the video.
They dragged protesters from outside the consulate into the consulate compound and then beat them up inside.
