If Murkowski wins her race I hope the GOP wins enough seats otherwise and replaces Mitch as leader followed by Murkowski’s expulsion from the GOP Senate caucus.
54 or more Republicans in the US Senate after November 8th would facilitate this along with McConnell’s removal.

McConnell would only need 28 votes in that scenario to maintain his position. Majority leader is a caucus-only vote - not like the House where the whole House votes for Speaker.
Why would the GOP caucus expel Murkowski and dethrone McConnell, when most of them agree with both?
