Ron DeSantis and Charlie Crist faced off on Monday evening in the first and only gubernatorial debate of the cycle. With just two weeks remaining for election day, it was the final chance for Crist to showcase his candidacy in the face of the incumbent governor’s bully pulpit.
How did it go for the Democrat? People will have to make up their own minds on that, but for my money, the beatdown by DeSantis was so thorough that I almost don’t even know where to begin. There are so many clips of him decimating Crist that I could easily cover a dozen different ones and still have more material left over.
I won’t belabor the point to that degree, but there are some highlights that are worth sharing, beginning with what was the line of the night from DeSantis.

I listened to it at the gym, DeSantis is very sharp. Crist is a male Pelosi.
I hate Charlie Crist, but that line is a little over the top for a governor to make in a debate against their opponent.
Best Governor in the nation, no question.
I would be fine with Trump or DeSantis being President.

Can easily be explained justifiably as the tired old rhetoric from Democrat (donkey) Crist being retired permanently by DeSantis.
