What did you think about Crist’s statement that DeSantis is the most anti-business governor he’s ever seen?

You mean like Joe Scarborough and Jake Tapper?

“...but that line is a little over the top for a governor to make in a debate against their opponent.”

Over-the-top is what the leftlust opposition understands. Pussyfootin’ around these scum only encourages them.

If you’re living with them kick them out. If you’re related, don’t invite them to anything. Treat them as the AH’s they aspire to be. They don’t deserve squat.

That makes sense and already occurred to me. Yet the more logical remedy for boredom in Washington would be to retire and then travel and enjoy life instead of attempting a chancy return to Tallahassee as governor.

I wonder if Crist is running in large part at the behest of the state's trial lawyers, with whom Crist is closely aligned. A governor's control of judicial appointments is a prized source of patronage. Under DeSantis, the state's defense bar and insurance companies have had a near lock on judicial appointments.

Running Crist would be a way for the plaintiff's trial bar to strike at DeSantis, with Crist lured in by the promise of fronting the national plaintiff's trial bar campaign and lobbying organization in DC if he loses. A salary of over a million a year with a fat expense account would easily be feasible for such a position.

1000%

It should’ve been thrown out a long time ago. The DNC approaches politics like its a bloodsport while the RNC is still playing patty cakes.

Thank God for the Trump’s, MTG’s, Lake’s, Desantis’ and just a handful of others.

With just two weeks remaining for election day, it was the final chance for Crist to showcase his candidacy in the face of the incumbent governor’s bully pulpit.

Just what exactly is Charlie Crist running on? Other than empty....

Sorry I missed it.

Reminds me of the good old days when a passel of us Freepers got together for the Rubio v Crist debates. Rubio tore him apart, as I’m sure DeSantis did. BTW, Freepers can party hardy!

“Worn out old donkey.”

That was non-malicious humor. Even Chist smiled.

"The choir is nodding and giving you amens but it takes more than the choir to elect a President."

2 weeks out from 2022 Election Day, 2024 has nothing to do with this thread.

The choir has a +10 lead over Crist. I'm not particularly warm on DeSantis 2024 either -- but this Florida goobernatorial race is OVER.

I hate Charlie Crist, but that line is a little over the top for a governor to make in a debate against their opponent.

I remember Jack Kemp thanking Algore for not calling him a racist in their debate. That is your kind of debate answer.

But, judging by the local FOX 13 (Tampa Bay) resident analyst, Crist took the debate on points.
Key word is “Fox”. When will people learn? Fox is not our friend.

That’s the local affiliate, but still lots of liberals on the national level.

Reading the leftmedia spin on last night's debate, all they can focus on is abortion and pedo-grooming "rights". Big surprise there.

You didn’t watch the debate did you? He used that to shut crist up about 24 because he kept on and on and on.

And it worked. Otherwise the debate would’ve been dominated by crist trying to trap Desantis and some stupid war between trump and Desantis.

In spite of DeSantis’ success, Republicans need to stop letting themselves get punched in the face with these debates. They need to step up a demand a hand in the logistics — no audiences (it’s a stupid addition that only distracts from the event) and no leftist loony moderators (or at least balance on both sides).

It’s idiotic how often they fall for this crap…

Red State is gearing up to stop Trump in two years if it’s possible

Is that turd Erickson still with them

DeSantis is good but he lacks the power and sheer dragon blast of Trump

He’s good though

He’s more beholden to the politics is his biggest drawback

Red State is gearing up to stop Trump in two years if it's possible

Red State simply doesn't have the power to stop President Trump, not that they will even try it.
Nobody does.

Is that turd Erickson still with them

Erickson left long ago.
