Alberta government to cut ties with 'offensive' World Economic Forum, premier says
National Post [Canada] ^ | Oct. 24, 2022 | Dean Bennett

“I find it distasteful when billionaires brag about how much control they have over political leaders,” Smith said at a news conference Monday after her new cabinet was sworn in.

“That is offensive, the people who should be directing government are the people who vote for them.

“Quite frankly, until that organization stops bragging about how much control they have over political leaders, I have no interest in being involved with them.”

The United Conservative Party premier said she is in lockstep with federal Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, who has stated he and his caucus will having nothing to do with the World Economic Forum...

The premier was asked by a reporter Monday if she has concerns about the forum “because you accept the online conspiracy theory that WEF is a front for a global cabal of world leaders bent on using the pandemic to destroy capitalism and install a socialist dysfunctional dystopia.”

Smith declined to answer.

“I think it makes sense to make health decisions based on health experts,” she said.

“The group (WEF) and the person at the helm of it (Klaus Schwab) — I don’t think he’s a medical doctor. I don’t think he’s a nurse, and I don’t think he’s a paramedic and I don’t think he’s a health professional.

“I am going to be taking advice from our front-line nurses, doctors, paramedics and health professionals to fix the local problems that we have.”...

She's already drawing a lot of heat from the "Canadian Establishment"

Pierre Poilievre is the new national Conservative leader, and going by the current polls, will probably replace the unpopular Justin Trudeau, the WEF's pet

I understood that Alberta was thinking of Joining the US a few years ago. Biden certainly has made the US not an attractive option.

I pray this is Canada’s next leader!

I like making fun of everything Canada, isn’t that what good friends do? This is fantastic news. I hope this sentiment flourishes and spreads far and wide.

This is a direct blow to Justine Trudeau and his brains. His brains and controller is Chrystia Freeland. Who is ultra WEF all the way. She is deputy Prime Minister of Canada.

Chrystia Freeland (deputy Prime Minister) is 10x more WEF than Trudeau, and controls whatever though processes Justine has. Who had 10 day meltdown when the Canadian truckers first rebelled. It took an hour long harangue from Uncle Klaus, to get Trudeau out of his tailspin. (my guess)

I hate being so unenlightened, but what are the Canadian equivalents of the US Republican and Democrat Parties?

Even now, the Constitution aloneakes the US an attractive option.

Canada’s Constitution is just a piece of paper in terms of one’s ability to use the he stated rights. For provinces, those so-called rights are meaningless since the ability to exercising rights is tied to receiving federal funds.

we don’t just have 2 parties, we’ve got 5 big ones that regularly split the vote

our Conservative Party is the “right-wing”, but it’s not as serious that way as the Republican Party

all the other 4 are varying degrees of leftists ... from the Liberals (Trudeau’s party), to the Bloc Quebecois (which only runs candidates in Quebec, and only cares about Quebec), to the socialist NDP, and up to the Green Party (as enviro-obsessed as the name suggests)

Liberals are currently partnered with the NDP to form a leftist Government

with 5 parties, you only have to get about ~40% of the national vote to get a Parliamentary majority

Getting Toronto alone is 15% of the vote.

Thanks! I communicating with people here on FR is the best. They tend to be extremely intelligent and to cut to the truth, discarding all the malarky.
