Maybe it's just me, but I believe that if a homeowner needs a roof, he should pay for it himself, and not make other people, who might not be as well off as he is, to finance it for him.
If you can't afford a roof when you need it, you can't afford a house.

Wow! We just paid $12,500. That price is high in the article. Bet NY makes disposing of shingles very difficult and that is why the price is so high.
