Elections 2022: What Are Early Voting Trends Telling Us?
PJ Media ^ | 10/29/2022 | Chris Queen

We conservatives have had a love-hate relationship with the polls this election season. I suppose that’s always the case, but the speculation of a red wave has made this year’s polling a bigger area of interest than in other years.

However, as the midterm elections draw ever closer, the GOP is seeing some encouraging signs from early voting data. And, while early voting numbers aren’t always the best indicator of how things will really go, the trends we’re seeing this year are encouraging.

On Friday night, I attended an event where Erick Erickson talked about the state of play after the first few weeks of early voting in some states. He had spent a good chunk of the day on the phone with experts to share trends with the eager audience, and the trends we’re seeing so far can bring conservatives some comfort.

Since he lives in Georgia and the event took place just north of Atlanta, the focus of the night’s announcements was the Peach State. The top counties in terms of turnout have been in GOP-friendly areas, which is a new phenomenon for early voting in Georgia, which Democrats tend to favor over voting on Election Day.

Erickson compared voting patterns to grocery shopping, at least in Georgia. He said that, much in the same way that shoppers buy the same items at the same stores, Democrats tend to vote early, while Republicans tend to wait until Election Day. This year, that pattern isn’t bearing out the same way.

So far, 26.7% of the early voting totals have been black voters, which is down from the typical black turnout, which usually runs above 30%. Most of the black turnout has been men, 33% of whom will vote for Herschel Walker, according to polling.

Most of the black turnout has been men, 33% of whom will vote for Herschel Walker, according to polling. Erickson said that if early voting trends hold up, Walker could win without a runoff.

As far as the governor’s race is concerned, Democrats have abandoned Stacey Abrams in terms of active campaigning. They see the writing on the wall, even if her campaign staff doesn’t.

“We’ll finally be rid of Stacey Abrams,” Erickson said to raucous applause.

****************

That fraud is still built into the system.

There is no legit reason for early voting or mass mail-in voting.

Stacey could serve as a long term valuable agent for our side (similar to Beta O’Dork in Texas) by incinerating national campaign money that could go to winnable races elsewhere.

Early voted today in Texas. Thousands of people nearby, no parking anywhere, polling place was ghost town... maybe 1 person showing up every minute, with 50 available booths.

So far there was zero evidence average joes/Janes are motivated and turnout looks like it will be below average.

2020 General election (mask required/height of Covid), same point in early voting, 1 Hr+ wait with 800 people in line.

2022 Winners will be determined by the politally motivated, not the Gen pop.

Well, rid of her as a candidate, at least for a bit. She will immediate be on MSDNC or something.

Lowwwww turnout in California so far.

This favors conservatives generally.

Here’s hoping.

Democrats could have won Texas if they nominated someone reasonable that said he would cut property taxes 15% and freeze the rate of increase at 3%/per year (like California and Florida)

Texas Propery taxes have gone up 50% in the last 5 years and its a slush fund for politicians.

Dems are too stupid to capitalize on this and pander to their wackos, instead of stealing “the overtaxed” voters from the repubs.

Yup, the fix is in, Republicans are so far ahead that there's no need to actually vote.

Then on the morning after the election, "Well, this is certainly a surprise!"

“Just for this cycle. She’s not going away politically”

Her physicality and diet is going to let her down. Looks like a heart attack lookin for a place to happen already. Might already have a cardiologist for all I know.

Heck, Obamalama at the very least got out for a round, shot some hoop, smoked, and other lifestyle choices... the smokin’ is gonna mess with him, the heaving chest is a giveaway.

I voted already. I will have something to say after the fact. If you didn’t vote, don’t even talk to me, you have no right.

Obama can’t even change the tide...

Obama gets frustrated as he can’t give a speech for Biden because he’s drowned out by a chant of “F*ck Joe Biden”..... quick video

From the “New York Intelligencer,” Oct. 28, 2022:

“More than 15 million voters have already cast their midterm ballots, according to the United States Elections Project. But young voters have contributed to a smaller fraction of that turnout compared to this time two years ago, according to interviews and a POLITICO analysis of voter data.”

Dems vote early, Republicans wait to Election day.

Most of the difference between the two is explained by who has a good ground game. I had a good ground game in 2013 for local candidates. That ground game produced the extra votes each day for 4 weeks. Stacy had a good ground game in 2020. It is that simple.

Stacy’s ground game, her army of volunteers is not a large or motivated now, as in 2020.

There are many, many factors that go into a winning campaign. And each factor can be explained.

Wife and I early voted yesterday (Fri 10/28) at about 10:30AM, NE GA. Well over half of the voting stations were being used and there were people coming and going at a constant pace. For a weekday morning it was impressive. Heavy turnout in N.GA is good news because this is MAGA country, home to Marjorie Taylor Greene. Trump pulled 70%-80% in a lot counties up here.

My wife and I vote on Election Day. However, when I went in to pick up my sample ballot to research alternatives to Tennessee’s RINO squish governor Bill Lee; it was VERY busy.

I early voted on Wednesday. Not too worried since this is Florida which in 2020 handled the election CORRECTLY. However, Broward County now has a Democrat as elections supervisor in contrast to a fair 2020 supervisor who was appointed by governor in response to our county mysteriously “finding” Andrew Gillum ballots for days after the election.
