Facing reverses on the frontline, Russian forces are intensifying strategic strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, with a renewed bombardment of Kyiv (Kiev) cutting off power and water in the capital.
Vitali Klitschko, the former heavyweight boxing champion who serves as the capital city’s mayor, said an energy facility powering “about 350,000 apartments in Kyiv” had been rocked by five explosions in the early hours of Monday morning.

While I agree with you on the large scale operations, I do not agree with the Powell Doctrine on small covert actions.
The small scale operations create division in the enemy and must be covert so they tend to blame each other internally and not you as an external enemy to pull their people together and unify against you.
Sun Tzu.... in application
We didn’t really win or lose in that skirmish. It was not our war. It was a civil war within Russia.
However, at the time the Russian Revolutionaries were siding with Germany and we managed to beat Germany, making our mission complete.
It’s very important to shout this down if we want it to stop. It might not work but it is worth a try.

“...Meanwhile all recent attempts by the Ukrainian army to penetrate the Russian held lines have failed. It is notable that these are now much smaller in size with just a battalion or in some cases just two companies in the lead.
It is now definitely mud season in Ukraine during which it is impossible to cross most farmland even on feet. This will hinder the attacking forces on both sides until winter sets in. ...”
I think Putin misjudged how much the NWO, which currently controls the Western governments, would back their money laundering bank against Russian interests in Eastern Ukraine. Unfortunately, now the Russians are destroying the infrastructure of the entire country. Regardless of the outcome, short of direct conflict between the superpowers, the West will continue to spend billions of dollars rebuilding what is left of the Ukraine when this is over.
The freeze will destroy every pipe and the entire water system.
The number of people this thread cheerleading Russia’s attack on civilians is degusting.
Agreed on small vs. large scale.
For the record, I put Ukraine - Russian War as large scale.
Russia invaded Ukraine after Ukraine had deprioritised NATO membership, completed a whole month of not killing or injuring a single noncombatant in the Donbas. And Ukraine was the one telling NATO that Russia surely wasn’t so nuts as to invade it without a credible cause.
What purpose would any peace deal have achieved once Russia broke every peace guarantee it had ever made to Ukraine?
The disingenuous vatniks still can’t even stick to a straight story on why they invaded Ukraine in the first place.
If it was solely about protecting the Donbas, why head for Kyiv?
If it was about hitting military targets, why bomb places like Vinnitsya, Lviv, and Khmelnytskyi?
If it was about protecting ethnic Russians, why did Russian forces alongside the LDNR kill more ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine in the first eight weeks than Azov killed in eight years?
If it was about promoting Slavic unity, why the reliance on Wagner’s neonazi guns for hire, and Chechen islamists? And why all the genocidal “kill the khokols” venom?
If it was about NATO expansion what was the bloody point of making nuclear threats at Sweden and Finland when neither had even expressed a loose interest in joining the alliance?
If it was about making Ukraine think a peace deal was worth making, what dimwit decided it’d be a really good idea to dedicate screeds of academic discussion alongside hours of TV debate on how Ukraine needed two generations of forced reeducation and punishment with 5-15percent of “unteachable” refuseniks sent to the gulags or executed?
Literally everything Russia chose to do from day one had “surrendering will be worse for Ukraine than fighting back” written all over it.
Damned right Zelenskyy realised that only an idiot wpuld sue for peace against a regime that had been preparing for the invasion for months and who showed no serious interest in postponing the invasion under any circumstances at all.
Russia even went so full retard it told NATO straight up that its peace terms amounted to “let us invade any country in the old Eastern bloc including Ukraine without NATO lifting a finger, or we’ll invade Ukraine”.
You act as if there’s a rational peace to be negotiated after a demand like that. Even the Russian negotiators thought the Kremlin had lost its mind.
The Russians should have won months ago. Anyone cheering Putin is an idiot. I couldn’t careless who wins, Russia is not the good guy. RUSSIA INVADED A SOVEREIGN COUNTRY. Do you get that?
Are Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania next and why not?
Like you know, bridges.
They should also ask "Li'l Z" why he did not warn the population that Russia was going to invade so they could prepare...
There you go. Power and water is being used by military too.
Now that I see it in all caps...
Agreed. You have some people here whose position truly is limited to "just don't send our money or equipment to anyone - not our fight" and that's it. I can live with those folks even if I disagree with that position.
The problem is that you also have a significant number of people who mayclaim it's "just about the money", but then cheer any reports of Russian success or Ukrainian hardship, rail against the "globohomos, etc.. For me personally, they're in the "never forgive and never forget" category. Pretty sure the feeling is mutual, too.
Of course they are not. Nor are the globohomos. They are both our enemies.
The globohomos are a bigger danger to freedom than Russia.
No matter who wins, we win. And if Russia wins, we can deal with them as Trump did.
As everyone on the side of freedom should do.
Great post #49.
Where? Please document.
What IS true is that if you read the Russians’ own propaganda, Russian fighter planes are generally only active in contested areas after Ukrainian SAMs get taken out. For example:
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4104662/posts
This may all boil down to whether Ukraine gets enough SAMs to replace losses, and / or receives effective anti-drone weapons (aside from conventional SAM’s, and / or drone shipments to Russia are interrupted.
