Arpaio just ran for Mayor of (very Republican) Fountain Hills, AZ back in August - and lost. He’s 90 years old now, and his ego-driven refusal to retire and endorse a successor earlier in the decade led directly to the Penzone/Fontes/Hobbs clown show election fraud of 2020.

Even good men can damage the cause by hanging around for too long.
