“We are exhausted” with crime and “need results,” National Supermarket Association’s Nelson Eusebio fumes to The Post, explaining why 70 mostly Latino city grocers are donating $1,000 apiece to Rep. Lee Zeldin’s campaign for governor.

The group — whose stores include Foodtown, Key Food, C-Town and other supermarkets — have generally voted for Democrats, Eusebio explained. Yet now they’re desperate to end the city’s shoplifting pandemic and other crimes that have plagued their businesses and city streets.
They want crooks held “accountable,” not freed to rob again soon after their arrest, as now under New York’s lunatic cashless-bail laws. In stark contrast to Gov. Kathy Hochul, Zeldin vows to fix those laws on Day 1, if elected. “We are frustrated and tired of Democrats saying that bail reform has not affected crime negatively,” rails Carlos Collado, a registered Democrat who owns two Bronx markets.

probably cause they are going down like a led zepelin under the Dems
Why would ANYONE vote for Hochul? She is only friends with the NY cocktail crowd, TV and Wall Street elitists. Middle-class and working class voters should rebel.
Ride on the NYC subways and you will see how Democrats have destroyed New York.
The big food purveyors named here (like Foodtown, which used to be all over NJ, if it’s the same one) are NOT the ones most harmed by crime, it’s the smaller ones like the bodega that was hit months back, where A Bragg tried to press charges against the owner for defending himself....I can see the “corporate” entities named contributing ON BEHALF of the small mom and pop type stores, and that’s fine. Those owners are already stretched financially.

Latinos shouldn’t be messed with. They have their ways with with people they don’t like.😎
Sounds to me like they got exactly what they voted for, good and hard!
Make sure that just in case Republicans win, at least it's believed to be because of immigrants.
It's easy to see a huge renewed RINO campaign of catering in the offing.
People who are in the grocers association didn’t stream over anytime soon.
The grocers are the foot in the door to get the entire hispanic group promoted.
That's white LATINO is mentioned rather than grocers in general.
An illegal immigrant just seriously attacked the Speaker of the House’ husband. I don’t think anyone on either side of the aisle has mentioned that, including trump.
I don’t see anywhere in this article where it says anything about only voting for republicans if they start supporting amnesty. Hispanic people who voted for Trump in 2020 probably thought his policy on a legal immigration was much more tough than it actually was. Do you think there should be some sort of law that Hispanics can’t vote for republicans? How would they enforce that law?
Oh was he hispanic? The news media better triple its efforts in convincing Republicans that hispanics are natural born conservatives then.
I don't see anywhere in my comments that I said the article mentioned anything expressly.
Let's just allow time to show whether my actual point is right or not: if we are being groomed by such pro hispanic news reports (yes, not limited to the grocers, artisans or pregnant drummers who may be the focus of the individual reports) for a big RINO promoted amnesty (often called "it's not amnesty," by the way), it shall be rolled out within three years. If I'm wrong I shall admit I jumped the gun.
