In the relatively wide spectrum of people with personality quirks, a few will find their way into the Republican party. This by no means tarnishes the Republican brand, if the transgressor, once identified, is denied the opportunity and support of the party, which in this instance, has already been done.

But then, there is always the possibility of a wrongful accusation, only a court of law may make the right determination on that. And so far, there has been only the accusation.

Innocent until proven guilty is the default law of the land. But the judgment of the court of public opinion has no such constraint.

“Republican, unfortunately.”

Journalism 101: That should’ve been pointed out several times in the first paragraph.

This reporter wrote the story as if the perp was a Democrat, so I’m guessing he’ll soon be out of a job.
