Chicago’s gun violence continued over the weekend as police said gunfire struck more than 30 people, including an off-duty cop who was shot in her neck and a 15-year-old boy shot in the head during a drive-by.
The bloodshed occurred from 6 p.m. Friday to 11:59 pm. Sunday, according to Chicago police data released Monday morning.
In total, there were 20 reported shooting incidents and 32 shooting victims, which included at least four juveniles. Police said at least five people were murdered in the weekend gun violence.
Among those fatally shot was a 15-year-old boy who was found laying on the ground in the 3000 block of West 23rd Street just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, police said. The teen had suffered a gunshot wound to his head during what witnesses described as a drive-by shooting. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Its a shame that Fox is on-board with this “gun violence” nonsense. Gun violence is bad, but why stop there. There were a lot of people raped, mugged, robbed and killed last weekend without a gun being involved. Lee Zeldin said it best in the debate with Kathy Hochul when she started pattering on about “gun violence.” He said the woman who got pushed in front of a subway car by a deranged thug didn’t involve a gun. The woman who got raped in Central Park by a group of “youths” didn’t involve a gun. Its crime, not “gun violence”, that is the problem.
And so it goes in Chicongo.
Mrs. O’Leary’s cow might have had the right idea.
It may not be progress but it’s certainly progressive.
I’d almost think Chicago could use a Al Capone type to run things.
No excusing Al for being the criminal he was.
It’s been an exceedingly warm Fall here in the Midwest. I expect shootings will slow down once the snow flies. ;)

Those guys were evil, and they exploited people’s weaknesses. But I’ll say one thing for them. They were usually careful not to kill innocents during their many gangland wars.
None of this spray and pray stuff, like we see with today’s thugs.

Race, causes, etc of the shooters and victims?
It plays out that way on a small scale, all over the country.
I had a friend in Arizona whose neighborhood was kept safe by tbe cartel drug-house up the street. They didn’t want tor any increased police presence in the area, and there were real consequences if you crossed them.
Its crime, not “gun violence”, that is the problem.

I believe this is an original idea (maybe good for a laugh).
I think places like Chicago are like an individual serial killer. A large monstrous group mind entity, Chicago now craves attention. The more the “people” of Chicago kill, the more attention they get.
Another quiet weekend in Chi.
