Fearing low turnout among demoralized Democrats in New York, Hollywood stars are making a last-ditch effort by appealing to potheads to support unelected incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul (D), pushing her pro-marijuana platform as a major selling point. Like getting stoned on a regular basis? Vote for Hochul.
“She has upheld the most equitable marijuana legalization in the country, giving those who suffered the most under racist laws the opportunity to benefit,” said Julianne Moore in a campaign video released late Monday.

The RATs managed to drag the potheads to the polls in Texas today by putting recreational “medical” happy smoke on the ballot here. Texans already can’t drive safely, and this is only going to make matters worse.

Nationwide the “D” campaigns are absolutely pathetic. Not one of them has focused on things that matter to citizens: rampant sky-high inflation, fuel shortages, five million illegal invaders pouring over the non-existent southern border, and international crises.
All they have is murdering babies, Hate Trump, spending five trillion for nothing but triggering inflation, the impossible Green Wet Dream that will impoverish us all, pretending boys can be girls, pedophilia, bogus rising sea levels, and now Get Stoned on us. Obviously none of this is attractive to the Normals.

New York’s marijuana legalization has been an utter joke. Literally makes New Jersey and Massachusetts seem like sensible pro-business states.
Law passed 18 months ago, zero recreational dispensaries open. Bureaucrats mainly focused on which “justice involved” (i.e., drug ex-con) license applicants are going to be permitted to front for whoever is really providing the cash to run the business.
So, she's going to give convicted drug dealers permits to sell drugs? I don't get it. I don't think people should be in prison for weed but this comment sounds more racist than it does equitable. I'm sure most African Americans have more important things to think about than who gets to sell weed.

Huh? I’m not pro or anti pot as far as policy goes. I choose for myself not to use it but don’t base my political opinion on that. I’m fairly libertarian on these issues. I don’t think government should be licensing and taxing it. I just don’t understand the argument the actress is presenting.
I don’t smoke either, gave it up.
But stripped of politics and emotion drugs are money and when you have a problem with money you get control of the money.
In my estimation drugs dealers don’t ask for id. Think about it.
