No, he is being an envious jerk ... desiring to have what is not his. A jealous jerk would be someone who desires what is his by right. Trump does not own the 2024 nomination, even though he may - and probably does - think that. It must be won on merit. He will get nowhere the way he is going.
I voted for Trump twice. I regret that he did not get a second term. I think we owe him a debt of gratitude for being such an effective president, who, unlike Biden, actually loves his country and tried to serve its people well and truly.
But I do think he has passed his expiration date, and just doesn’t realize it. He will drag the GOP down to defeat. We need the MAGA mindset, but its standard bearer - and whoever it is must truly bear its standard - needs to be someone younger and more disciplined in his language. Blunt is fine. Blunt is good. But don’t shoot everyone who isn’t in lockstep with your every idea whether big or small.
Far better that Trump be a confidant and respected advisor to the new president; and help MAGA remain MAGA.
