You don’t pull out 30,000 troops in a few days in anything close to “orderly.” That’s a lot of people and material to get over two bridges.
Something was left behind. My guess is it was people…because Tanks and guns are valuable to the Russians. They can get more people.
It won’t 30K, more like 20K.
The withdrawal was orderly by any military combat measure.
The withdrawal had begun a couple weeks ago along with the evacuation of about 130K-150K civilians.
Those who withdrew today/yesterday were rear guard or rear echelon.
The only person I heard say it was higher than 20K was Col MacGregor and he posited that it was like roughly 25K.
Thanks...Naval surface warfare is like fighting from mobile trenches...
I stand corrected, Sir.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that more than 30 thousand military personnel were withdrawn to the left bank of the Dnieper River.
That’s a ton of people to move in short order. But, I guess they were motivated.

Update on Russian military operations in and around Ukraine for November 11, 2022.
- Russia completes withdrawal from Kherson city to east bank of the Dnieper River;
- Ukraine has lost its last major opportunity to corner and destroy/capture large numbers of Russian forces/equipment;
- Russia continues stated process of de-militarizing Ukraine;
- US aid to Ukraine becomes increasingly unrealistic - Hawk missiles designed in the 1960s and unused for 2 decades are being "refurbished" for a lack of better options;
- "Avenger" systems to be sent in small numbers (4) which are essentially Stinger missiles attached to a Hummer - after training for Ukrainian operators is completed;
- Dwindling amounts of basic ammunition continue to be sent to Ukraine, prolonging the conflict, but not in quantities to even allow Ukraine to hold what it has;
- As Russian forces withdrew from Kherson city, they advanced elsewhere in southern and northern Donbass.

There are indeed more than 10 thousand PoWs, except they are Ukrainians in Russian captivity.
