Unconfirmed reports on social media late on Thursday, November 10, claimed that explosions had occurred near the Antonovsky bridge. Some, again unconfirmed, even suggested that the bridge had been destroyed.
Similar explosions were also reported on the left bank of the Dnieper river. Others reported explosions occurring in the area of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
Various Telegram channels were posting about these incidents, with Ukrainian channels insisting that it was the Russian military firing at the bridge, while Russian ones claimed it was Ukraine targeting the structure. “It is possible that both sides are firing”, the Politika Strana Telegram channel commented.
“About the Antonovsky bridge and who is shelling it. Why the Russians would shoot at it if there are no APU forces there yet is not entirely clear. It would have been more logical for them not to shoot at the bridge, but to blow it up after the retreat was complete -or perhaps they already did”, Politika Strana wrote.
It added: “But in general, the Dnieper is turning into a new front line, and the cities on both sides of the river – including Kherson – are turning into front-line settlements with all the ensuing consequences. And it is unlikely to be calm on this sector of the front”.
Several channels also reported the sound of gunfire in the suburbs of Kherson city. Meanwhile, Vitaly Kim, the governor of the Mykolaiv region, published a post in Telegram with one letter – “Ch”. Some subscribers deciphered this to mean that Ukrainian troops had entered the village of Chernobaevka near Kherson.
MP Oleksiy Goncharenko in his Telegram channel also hinted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had entered Chernobaevka. Several Russian Telegram channels wrote late on Thursday that special forces of Ukrainian troops were already in Kherson

Are all the bridges from Kherson to Crimea destroyed now?
How are the remaining Russian forces west of the Dnipro going to retreat?
Well...the next bridge crossing is around 60 km NE (the dam bridge). Problem here is that even if they had vehicles to get the Russian troops up there....there probably isn’t enough fuel.
Over the past week, Russians have not said how many troops had left the area (best guess that 30,000 to 40,000 were there six weeks ago).

Good question...I’m a naval person , but I would think blowing bridges is a defensive or a retreat blocking operation.

They obviously destroyed the bridge after withdrawal.
“We were promised pictures and videos of hundreds of units of destroyed or captured Russian armor and thousands of dead soldiers and POWs, instead all we got were videos of destroyed Antonovsky and railway bridges and an orderly retreat.”

Hey cranked,
You forgot to add that the Russians really did not want Kherson, that is it was a brilliant feigned attack to pin down Ukrainians troops as the Russians advanced in glory somewhere else.
Impossible! FR’s in-house comrades said that this would never happen!!!
I did not forget anything.
Did you forget that Ukraine is broke?
Did you forget that Ukraine has no economy to support or sustain their military?
Did you forget that Zelenskyyidiot is still begging and pleading near daily for more tanks, planes, artillery assets, munitions, etc., etc.?
Did you for get that there is talk of a massive evacuation of Kyiv and other north and northwestern cities of mass evacuations?
Did you forget that the Russians are daily taking out energy infrastructure?
Did you forget that the Kyiv Regime has an ongoing 100K mobilization for replenishing their units, not adding to troops on the ground? But yeah, they not taking huge losses, at all.
Did you forget that the Russians are steadily building up their forces while Ukraine is steadily depleting its own forces and military hardware? significant chunks of Ukraine’s military forces are being filled by.......mercs.
Demilitarization of Ukraine continues on.
Ah, I see the Ukies finally got an invitation to move into Kherson...
A great day for Kherson and Ukraine!
