Trump scolds Mitch McConnell as GOP Senate majority becomes unlikely after Democrats keep crucial Arizona seat

Former President Donald Trump is blaming Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for Republicans not winning more seats in the U.S. Senate, as their chances of flipping a majority in the chamber become more unlikely.

On Friday evening, shortly after Democratic Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly fended off Republican challenger Blake Masters, Trump took to social media to blame McConnell over the loss.

"Mitch McConnell, the Republicans Broken Down Senate Leader, does nothing about this. He’s too busy spending vast amounts of money on bad Senator Lisa [Murkowski] of Alaska, when Kelly [Tshibaka] is FAR better."

The former president’s comments come as a handful of Senate Republicans sought to delay their leadership elections set for next week as they too have growing frustration with McConnell and other leaders.

When maintaining your position as Senate Minority Leader meant more than actually taking the majority in the Senate.....

Once again, we have McConnell to thank for another Senate Majority slipping away. The problem is that his hand-picked candidates are selected based on their degree of loyalty to his Leadership, and little else.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different outcome.

The way Republicans go about running campaigns is insane, they keep repeating the same things and it never works, Trump is part of the insanity.

We lose a key election, bitch and complain and the make no change to the approach to elections.

Leadership of the Republican Party certainly has to go, McConnell, Rona McDaniel, and Kevin McCarthey all need to go, they oversaw the election and failed

The Republicans also need to study how Democrats keep winning and play the game with the rules as they are and stop complaining about things they can’t control.

If that means Ballot Harvesting, you ballot harvest, if that means stuffing ballot boxes, you stuff ballot boxes.

Despite all the lessons learned in 2020, the Republicans did nothing to combat the Democratic Advantage.

Yes and we need to start fighting the way Dems do; Dirty.

I asked the question why did the conservative leaning Supreme Court rule on the abortion issue just shortly before the election when they knew it would unify the leftist women and soy boys?

I was told by 2 freepers because that was on the schedule and by god or hell and high water that’s just how we do things. By the book raaar raar.

There is not a solitary doubt in my mind if the leftists had 6 of 9 positions on the SCOTUS and the ruling would have hurt them, they would have found a way to delay it until after. Until we start treating politics like a fight they will have the advantage.

Well and control of the mass media but that is another matter.

Trump's pick in Pennsylvania, Dr Azz is mostly responsible for flipping a GOP senate seat to the Dems.

McConnell, McDaniel, McCarthy and the rest of the leadership should be dismissed from leadership positions.

Unfortunately, that includes Trump, who is the leader of the party.

The Democrats know how to win. When they have a tough primary fight they coalesce around the winning candidate no matter what. Purity doesn’t matter to them like it does on our side. If the Pubs have a tough primary fight the losing side usually gets butthurt and will stay home for the general or actually help the Democrat.

You are completely misreading the Pennsylvania results. The place has been dragged down by a feckless, corrupt state GOP organization for years.

Bingo .
Clean House .

All including Trump and his Moron Rhonda Romney a complete Incompetent Moron since 2017.

We have no fund raising anymore thanks to her
We have no Ground game thanks to her
I volunteer in FL .
Desantis people openly mocked her Incompetence.
She is the key reason we lost in 2018 2020 and 2022 .
And Trump rehired her in 2020.

Like DR OZ or Wray other Disastrous Trump Picks.

Marco Rubio @marcorubio
US Senate candidate, FL

The Senate GOP leadership vote next week should be postponed

First we need to make sure that those who want to lead us are genuinely committed to fighting for the priorities & values of the working Americans (of every background) who gave us big wins in states like #Florida

You are completely misreading the Pennsylvania results. The place has been dragged down by a feckless, corrupt state GOP organization for years.

This is true, however, Dr Azz had the money to campaign, but did very little until after Labor Day. Fetterman was pounding on Dr Azz in June, July and August, painting him as a carpetbagger and elitist. Dr Azz did nothing in response.

The campaign strategy was completely wrong...and nobody helped our candidates with this. When I brought this up on FR, I was told I don't know anything and nobody pays attention until after Labor Day.

That was true pre-2016. We cannot win if we fight the battle using tactics from the last decade that are now obsolete.

Therefore, by the time our candidates started campaigning, most of the mail-in-votes were already cast.

Why do you think after the Fetterman debate the #1 search on Google was "how do I change my vote"?

I understand PA politics very well. A candidate cannot depend on the state GOP for anything. You need a strategy in the face of voting-by-mail.

But that is all water under the bridge now. Shapiro and the Soros PA Supreme Court will make sure voting by mail is expanded and made easier.

The Abortion Ruling had nothing to do with the results, Republicans avoiding the issue and not making an issue of Democrats radical abortion stance did have a lot to do with it.

Nearly every Republican Governor that tackled the issue head on and didn’t run from it, won...Florida and DeSantis implemented a 15-week ban, obviously that had no effect on Rubio and DeSantis crushing their opponents.

Dr. Oz stumbled and tried to avoid the issue based on the advice from Washington Consultants, Fetterman wanted abortion up to the minute of birth, Oz never made that an issue....Oz got crushed.

If you are prolife, you defend that position aggressively and point out the Democrats support infanticide, the smart Republicans did that and won.

And the Senators know it which is why Rubio publicly stated yesterday to postpone next week’s Senate Leader vote so that they can find someone who cares and understands the American people. Bold move and I dont think he would have done it if he didn’t have support on the inside. Hawley blasted McConnell the other day publicly as well. So much could change with Mitch gone. If you have a GOP Senator call them Monday and tell them you support Rubios proposal and ask for new leadership.
