In a hypothetical match-up, DeSantis beats Trump if he dances a jig, while twisting himself up like a pretzel, while standing on his head, and spitting jelly beans.
This poll is silly at this point because the two aren’t actually running against each other head to head. DeSantis hasn’t really been “vetted” yet by GOP voters nationwide. Trump is a formidable opponent, and we saw what he did to Jeb, Rubio, Cruz etc. If DeSantis gets into a cage match with Trump, RDS will likely not come out unscathed in the eyes of GOP voters. RDS probably knows this, and if he really wants to run in ‘24, he’ll probably sit out as long as possible and hope that DJT’s campaign somehow implodes.

Instead of running, Gov. Ron would do better by traveling to swing states and holding rallies for FLA-type election reform.
