During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” co-anchor Jake Tapper asked Jeffries about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) telling The New York Times there was “healing that needs to be done in our caucus” after Jeffries emerged as Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) likely successor.

Hakeen Jeffries may end up as Minority Speaker In Name Only if Biden has his way. Biden has asked Nancy Pelosi to stay as as active part of congress after her speakership formerly ends. If this happens, it will be like having your Mother In Law move in shortly after the wedding for a visit that is both unrequested and extended. She is not going to be a silent partner.

Believe this: When it comes to the rats a 1 vote House majority is as good as a 100 vote majority.

I could easily see that. He just seems like an odd choice to me, out of Left Field (in more ways than one), but he was probably chosen to project an image of inclusion. Affirmative Action leader.
