Based on the comments so far, it sounds like there are a lot of “Never Pencers” on this board.
They are in the minority now and need to shut up. We have heard enough from bug-eyed Schiff.
As with pretty much everything else that Schiff says, this is nonsense (and I am being very charitable). I sincerely doubt that Mike Pence has anyone in the Trump base that he hasn’t already alienated. There is another reason, and it may have to do with committing perjury.
It is truly amazing how well and clearly Adam the Righteous understands Republican motives, but no one understands Democrat motives ... which, of course, always altruistic, good, and virtuous.

Pence has already alienated the “Trump base”. For each retelling of January 6, 2021, Pence sees himself more and more the “hero” of the day. He wants to return the GOP to the days of losing “gracefully” to the left. The GOP made a good start on that in the elections earlier this month.

I can’t recall any president except Lincoln testifying before Congress. Lincoln went in secret before the Joint Committee on the Conduct of the War to scotch treason rumors about his wife.
