Uk supreme court rules against Scottish government's right to hold a second independence referendum.

LONDON, Nov 23 (Reuters) - The United Kingdom's top court ruled on Wednesday that the Scottish government cannot hold a second referendum on independence without approval from the British parliament, dealing a hammer blow to nationalists' hopes of holding a vote next year.

In 2014, Scots rejected ending the more-than 300-year-old union with England by 55% to 45%, but independence campaigners have argued the vote two years later for Britain to leave the European Union, which the majority of Scottish voters opposed, has materially changed the circumstances.

The UK has a Deep State, too.

And it’s top court, again like ours, is controlled by its Deep State.

Scotland ain’t going anywhere unless and until it suits its Deep State’s purposes.

What the UK doesn’t have is a Trump.

And, brother, does it need one.

We didn't have the permission of George III when we declared our independence. How would anyone stop Scotland from having the vote despite this ruling? Troops?

I,personally, think that Scotland would be silly to declare independence. Doing so would put them under the complete control of Germany.

Scotland would join the EU.

Ireland is doing quite well as an EU member.

The American colonies were not represented in Parliament. Had that been the case, the declaration would never have happened and everyone other than maybe Samuel Adams would have been happy to remain British.

Scotland is not a colony and is represented. As are the American states. American states aren’t allowed to vote for independence either, and the federal government was willing to kill 100,000s of citizens to make that clear back in the 1860s.

Wouldn’t require troops, the unionist majority would boycott the referumb, giving it no legitimacy. The SNP government could simply be ignored and made to look impotent and pathetic.

Yes,they say that Ireland’s “doing well”. That’s because until very recently Ireland received huge subsidies from Brussels...Germany,France and a few other members were Ireland’s “sugar daddies”. Another huge reason why Ireland is doing well is English, the most widely spoken language in the world (according to Wikipedia).

That’s how “democracy” works with the left. They keep voting until they get the vote that they want. After that, too bad.

No it wouldn’t, Scotland does 60% of its trade with the rest of the UK. It would not make economic sense to leave the British single market for the European one.

In addition there would be no benefit to the EU, they would be taking on a huge liability that would be a net recipient for decades to come, and they don’t need that kind of liability.

Today, the American Progressive effort is totally derivative of the UK.

That is, in America today, Loyalists are half the population and are presently in control

Liberty is seldom given, it’s almost always taken. If the Scots want it bad enough, they will take it, costly as it may be.

The Scottish independent’s had their referendum vote... They lost. Now they want to have a vote every year until they win... That’s not acceptable.

The French province of Quebec had an independence referendum in 1980... And lost... Then they had another in 1995... And lost. They won’t be having one anytime soon, because there is no support for a referendum... Because Quebec is treated better than any other province.

What they should have is a referendum in the rest of Canada to get rid of Quebec... The Liberals would be out of power in Canada for generations to come, because most of the votes that keep a party like the Liberals (who are essentially, Socialist) in power come from Quebec.

Under 3 successive Scottish National Party governments since 2011, Scotland has become the drug overdose capital of Europe. The SNP is a Socialist, anti Brexit party and Nicola Sturgeon’s next move is to declare that the next election is a referendum... We can only hope... Because she will likely lose.

Most of the people there appear to like it that way. I’ve met a number of Brits here in the USA, and when the subject came up every one hated Trump not for any reason that made sense and again when the subject arose all were appalled by the fact that we can go to the store and buy a gun. Granted this is not a scientific study, but it would appear they have the government they deserve.

Here’s my take...

The US is paying for electing Trump.

The UK is paying for voting for Brexit.

My bet is neither country has had an honest national election since.

And won’t until we secure our elections.

The U.S. needs it’s own independence referendum, with Florida and Texas and other red states declaring their desires to secede from the union that has been shattered by the left-wing which wants to destroy the country and its constitution. Let the blue states do unto themselves and let the red states take care of themselves.

"What the UK doesn’t have is a Trump."

Trump's half Scottish. Who knows? Maybe he'll make a return.

The Scots hate him fiercely. Scotland is overwhelmingly left wing. Trump has plenty of sympathisers in the parts of England who voted Brexit because they “get it”.

Most people are normies who believe what they are told by the MSM. It is the same all over the world. Whereas Americans actually have lived experience of how ghastly the Dems are as well as how useless the GOP is, the only information they have about what America is like is Hollywood and the MSM tells them. It’s the same with Americans and the UK. If you don’t live in a place, you cannot truly understand it.

“If you don’t live in a place, you cannot truly understand it.”

Add to that the fact that leftists are oblivious to any reality—even in their own country—even in front of their noses.
