does this mean that it is mega donors, and not actual voters, that put a president in office? If so, good riddance.

Since Florida still uses RCV-enabled voting machines, has early voting and mail-in voting, I’d say he still has a lot to do in Florida to keep him busy.

2024 will be a test of DeSantis’s integrity: He was elected to a four-year term. If he abandons his state to run, he’ll lose my vote.

Pulling out means they save half their donated money; the other half going to the party of slavery, of course. They know how to “back a winner.”

“I’m waiting for any of the “Trump or nothing!” folks to convince me that he can win ANY ONE of the states he lost in ‘20.”

I am with you.

The numbers (and we are talking cheating here—with zero evidence anything has improved in the key states) say there is no path....

As more info comes out about the people backing DeSantis, the more likely that the conservative peasantry, (us ‘regular people’) will overwhelmingly support Trump, including financially.

And besides, with “Trump living rent free’ in his opponents and the Media’s heads (I repeat myself), he needs way less money to run his campaign than any other candidate would.

Trump won two potus elections.

No, he didn't but if you want to argue he won in 2020 then well, he let the Dems steal it of them out from under him.

So this being your truth, how does he keep WI, AZ, GA, MI, or PA from again being stolen in '24? Particularly when people here are trying to argue his picks were robbed just a few weeks ago?

Do we continue to support the one Republican candidate that is powerless to prevent those wily Democrats from stealing his elections?

[[These billionaire scum don’t get that their refusal to support Trump only makes him look good.]]

Exactly- the more they rant about Trump- the more Trump gains support- the people are fed up with the swamp - and the billionaire donors are swamp creature for sure

May their nasty remarks about Trump backfire BIGLY

Yea, Trump’s campaign has always been entirely about mega donors...This another feather in the hat of needing Trump to win. If ANY other politician loses mega donors they are screwed so they have to follow the lead of their mega donors. It’s not so with Trump. Think people!

No matter. The individual MAGA faithful will open their wallets and easily send Trump to victory.

“Hedge Fund Manager” has too many syllables. POS is just as accurate and simpler.

Resign to run?

Aye, there’s the rub.

I wish we had a third possible and uncontroversial candidate who could win without giving up all he’s accomplished so far. A bright, good-looking, well-dressed constitutional lawyer perhaps.

"run a chimpanzee for President.'

Election fraud got biden in the White House. A chimp would be a redundancy.

“…but here’s yet another one in which the billionaires who control the Republican establishment are trashing Trump.”

Because “the billionaires” have done so well managing American society and government.

Contrary to popular belief, money is not everything in politics. Hillary had access to far greater funds in 2016, which didn’t mean squat. Trump’s strength is his relationship with the voters. That will be the driving force in the next election. Genuine grassroots efforts in support of the America First agenda.

Sad to see The Washington Times go anti-Trump. I stopped subscribing.
