Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Senate should defund law enforcement refusing to enforce gun laws.
Anchor Dana Bash said, “Five months, it’s been that long since the president signed a bipartisan bill. You helped negotiate it. It incentivized states to implement red flag laws. Virginia and Colorado, where these mass shootings took place over the last ten days or so, they already have red flag laws in place, and it did not prevent those mass shootings.”

Feds should defund programs and spending not authorized by an enumerated power. No federal welfare programs, no social security, no medicare, no funding of schools ... none of all sorts of stuff like that there.
Not even block grants to States to administer federal programs.

Defunding the police is the most ridiculous thing that anyone can possible say. The police when well managed and overseen are needed. Imagine the chaos without them? Oh, wait, then we would all be like the inner Democrat cities nationwide
If obedience to the law is the criteria to receive funding, sanctuary cities and the FBI and the IRS should be defunded. Liberals never think about these ideas being reciprocally applied.

Exactly. It’s not law enforcement refusing to enforce gun laws, it’s the legal system letting them go. Instead, let’s defund the lawyers.
We’re dealing with it in our own life. Career criminal family broke into my late father-in-law’s home this past February, stealing a Liberty safe from the basement with at least eight firearms in it, an old truck and an assortment of tools. Only one of the five involved has been charged, and he’ll likely get one month in jail and rehab since he’s a meth head. That’s it.
When you start looking at court cases it’s amazing, and infuriating. On average, criminals pay roughly 10% of their sentence. I see a lot of “sentenced to 18 months, 18 months suspended.” It’s disgusting.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the decent, law abiding citizens only had to pay 10% of their responsibilities to society (i.e. taxes)?
Can we defund Congress and the Senate? It would really help the country.

Let’s defund every corrupt, useless, malfeasing scumbag at every level of government, whereupon we can eliminate deficit spending and start knocking off the $30 trillion+ in federal debt.
